I’ve been doing these ghetto seasonal anime impressions in skype chat for a past few years, but for some reason I finally decided to document my glorious opinions for the sake of history. Originally written in like July 2015, I simply cannot let that Ushio to Tora review be lost in time.
Ranpo Kitan – Game of Laplace – girly looking boy wakes up in classroom with his teacher is dismembered/murdered. has knife in hand, police come, main suspect. friends and classmate worries. boy is very happy and optimistic, amused at the situation. detectives/cops come and investigate. main detective looks over boy, whatever. acused girly boy and friend go to detective house to see what’s up, conviced no the killer. main dectective is genious kid. etc etc. basically murder mystery/dectective show. not bad, good production values, animation, character design, premise, feel. worth maybe watching a bit more we’ll see
Classroom Crisis – show starts out seeming like a serious drama show. see business men talking about some shit crisis or something. school setting and students etc. daily life. as the show continues you eventually figure out that the town/city is run by a big tech corporation/company. mainly brainless banter of school bullshit for about 70% of the show. something about kidnapped transfer student. students want to go rescue this student from some bad people. then you realize they are are in space, in a different planet or coloy, space shit man. girl takes ship to rescue transfer student. shit ensues, new kid is obtained. kid ends up being the vice president of the company/town. etc etc implied comedy of the show and hijinks. whatever, bullshit. horrible execution and flow, premise really interesting but done so poorly that it fails already. ho-ho char designs. whatever. bad
GATE – dude is like yo, i only work to support my hobby. hardcore otaku shit. goes to event in akiharaba, normal times. some magical gate opens and then like dragons, knights and wizards pop up and start ruining some shit. main guy is like shit, man, this gonna cancel my event; gotta tell these magical fools who’s boss. guy helps people and puts the laydown on these knight faggots. main guy’s job is actually solider in the army and becomes hero, doesn’t give a shit, just want to protect his waifu’s man. few months past, gov end up they want to go ruin the magical kindom’s shit for you know, revenge, sends army with tanks into gate. ends up going, guy is like, yo, hope there is some cat girls and pussy. ah yea. what a joke wtf show, gonna watch this shit. genious concept, decent designs, insane presemise. good.
Okusama ga Seitokaichou! (Uncensored) – wondered why this had the word uncensored on it, there was two versions of it around. basically quick 5 minute show. some fool and class president girl find out arranged marriage. girl is happy and cute, not bad, goes to dude’s house to live and etc jokes. uncensored because girls boob’s are drawn, touched and sucked. ok. points for being brave for a non-ero title but yea, ok for mainstream boob. might watch more
Aoharu x Kikanjuu – i don’t know what’s up these days, there is so many shows where there is a guy that looks like a girl and girls that look like guys. this show is the former, main char is girl who looks like boy. basically show for women, boy is like tough tachibana bloodline, pride/justice etc. wants to fight/ fix wrongs. friend gets manipulated into some stuff with hosts. girl wants to confront the guy and stuff etc. kinda strange since this show is actually about airsoft/survival games with bb guns. gets into bb gun fight with host guy, host guy is op good. owns her, noone knows that she is a girl, but in the end it was all misunderstanding, host guy didnt’ do anything etc. ok show for women, interesting concept but not really my thing. whatever
Hetalia – The World Twinkle – hetalia more, first ep has some cats or something. women. ok. whatever
Wakaba Girl – another 5 minute show. take is easy slice of life. main girl is rich but ends up going to regular school instead of rich school because she is dumb. alright. good shit. probably going to watch more of this.
Charlotte – some fool can temporarily go into the body of others he sees and can see what they see etc. guy uses his power to cheat in school and advance in society etc. feeling kinda deathnote-ish. guy is pretty smug bitch. wins best girls and etc. eventually confronted by some other girl from other school, proves his power and his cheating, guy is like yo what. other girl and her crew guy own this boi, girl can become invisible to a single person, other guy can teleport. tells smug guy to transfer and go to special school for people with abilities. basically anime x-men slice of life comedy i guess. ok, hard to tell if will watch more. guy is kinda dick/unlikeable. concept is whatever, art is so-so, pacing is ok. we’ll see
Working!!! – third season of slice of life comedy of people who work at saizeriya; i mean, wagnaria. good shit. watch more for sure.
Shimoneta – in near future, japan has gone hardcore moral ethics and banned porn/swearing and other profanity. caught using or performing in-decent acts/materials, get arrested/jail. comedy. main guy is kinda gay, but whatever. basically goes to school because yea, morals and shit, likes the school rep girl, whatever. train station, attacked by pervert terrorist, naked, panties on head etc, spreads trading cards of idols and girls etc. terrorist is a girl. at school, meets student coucil, want him to be part of catching pervert terrorist, because he’s gay and whatever etc. other student coucil member is the pervert terrorist, jokes ensues and lures him to be part of her crew. not bad show. good animation and premise, ok character designs, main girl is likeable. jokes. will probably watch more
Rokka no Yuusha – I AM THE STRONGEST IN THE WORLD. whatever. faggot main character. fantasty setting. something about sealing the demon king in the past, 6 heroes chosen to fight it, decenent of goddess or something. main guy fights some shit, ends up meeting princess of some kinddom, both end up being chosen as one of the 6 heros. whateverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. could not get any more generic fantasy bullshit. main girl princess is pretty cute however, but it’s still not enough. ok animation, boring ass played out concept and premise, slow. bad.
Gangsta – show about GANGSTAS as it reads. basically i’m guessing somewhere in europe or italy, main paring is some blonde eyepatch dude and deaf japanese guys are gangsters, super pro, people hire them to kill people, mercanaries. cops hire them to kill some gang or something. picks up and saves abused hooker in the process, show ends. ok. might watch more, ok concept, decent char designs but kinda ugly in my opinion. decent
Ushio to Tora – looks really dated, like 90’s shit character designs. boy is like yo i live in a shrine. demon is like sealed in shrine. yo i’m gonna go to the basement, something eren yeager will never do and check that shit out. no shit, demon is in basement, has some spear in him, demon asks him to take out spear, dude is like shit hell no are you stupid. leaves. goes outside, bug demons ruining his shit. goes back inside, asks demon wtf yo. demon is like, yo, cause you talked to me man, my evil demon spirit attracting them baddies. guy is like yo man, stop this shit, i’ll release you. ok. pulls out spear, demon obviously wants to ruin his shit, stupid boy. boy pulls up the power of his ancestors and with the power of this magical spear, transforms to some long haired samurai wuss looking guy. demon is like yo man, stop, i’ll help you, just don’t stab me bro. guy is like ok, fight these bugs, ok. they go and kill bugs. guy is like yo, i got my eye on you, be my slave. end show. wtf shitttt lol. bad 90’s char design, stop it guys, stop pulling shit from the 90’s for material. bad.
