Things That I Hate and Like
Tracedawn is a Finnish melodic death metal band that is currently on hiatus since 2012. This is their last album as far as I know. As usual this is another random find while browsing through getmetal.org and a random download. When I do this kind of thing, I sometimes get alot of shit that I …
Ex Deo is a side project of the Montreal death metal band Kataklysm that’s all about Roman history and epic battles; basically Sabaton, except ancient times; Roman times that is. This is the third album under the Ex Deo name and shits pretty good. I first encountered Ex Deo from their second album Caligvla and …
I discovered Meadows End a few years ago during one of my mass downloads of metal music, specifically their 2014 album, The Sufferwell . It goes without saying that I liked their shit, and checked their older album and got that as well and was pleased. The music being played here is melodic/symphonic death metal, …
It’s that time of year again, a new Sabaton album! I haven’t really listened to much new music these past few months but that’s alright, figure now would be a good time to check this shit out. So let’s take a moment to remember what Sabaton is all about, war and history, or rather creating …
Amon Amarth has been around for quite some time viking it up on the melodic death metal scene and are the favorites of many; so much so that on the r/metal subreddit it is against the rules to post anything Amon Amarth related because shit, everybody knows them. Love them or hate them Amon Amarth …
I haven’t heard of the band Swallow The Sun, but what I do know is that I like this 3 album set titled “Songs from the North” which appropriately are labelled part I, II and III. The type of metal that is being played here is Doom Metal, which despite it’s similar name to Death …
Seeing as how this band is also from Japan, I guess you guys have to use anime style character art for the cover, cause you know, it’s easier to find anime artists and such yea. I’ve never heard of this band before but with a name like Dragon Eyes and an album named Prayer for …
This is pretty shit cover art guys. Each Of The Days is a Japanese meldodeath band which if I remember correctly, is composed of former Lost Eden band members, or at least the lead vocalist and guitarist, as usual. Lost Eden only released one studio album and then disbanded around 2009 for whatever, usual band …
Cover Art: Disarmonia Mundi is an Italian melodeth band which in my opinion is one of the best practitioners of the whole harsh/clean vocal thing and a pioneer in using synth to elevate their sound to new intensities and depth. I’ve been a big fan of Disarmonia Mundi for a long time now, I think …
Cover Art: The band in question here is Solution .45 which is something of a super metal band collaboration project where all of the members are from other bands and yea, they play music and write songs. I suppose you can consider it something like a side project for the band members from their main …
