Cover Art: This is a pretty cool looking album cover. So we got some unchained demon blasting through some planet with debris flying out everywhere into space. Not exactly the most original of ideas but the illustration itself is very well done and detailed. The logo for the band it also looking good, typical iron metal feel nice touch with the flames and the shield and the most important part: I can actually read what the band is called; Unleash the Archers. Great name, GG.
Album Review: So apparently this band is from Canada, BC and has been around for awhile now playing heavy/power metal with lead female vocals. Like all heavy/power metal, songs are generally very uptempo with lighting fast riffs and high pitch sounding vocals, and since the lead vocalist is a women, this is spot on done well. The songs themselves are catchy with good technical skill and solid compositions but none that are masterpieces, good yes, but nothing spectacular with their best song probably being Tonight We Ride; which just so happens to have a music video made that is something of a homage to Mad Max; which is the shit. There is a hint of medieval, folk theme in these tunes but overall fairly neutral. The clean female vocals are powerful and crisp and there are occasional death growls and rasps, which I’m assuming are from the other band members, alright. Overall a pretty good heavy/power metal album, but honestly with that Mad Max music video, it couldn’t have gotten anything less than a 6.
Score: 7/10
