The Rolling Girls – some shit happened in japan and now every prefecture is now an independant ruling nation. something happened and now people fight to rep their areas, super powers and stuff. very artsy and strange. very confusing to understand what’s going on. main girl is kinda like power ranger green represent green macha tea. got cheer squads and shit. art is ok, animation is ok. premise is kinda good but confusing to understand. will not watch any more.
Koufuku Graffiti – show about some girl who lives alone and cooks meal by herself, questions her cooking ability. relative/cousin ends up having to visit her every week because of schooling in tokyo. cousin is girl and is cute/funny. eats her food. says it’s amazing. main girl feels good again. basically this is slice of life show about cooking and food. i like it. will match more for sure. ok art, ok char design, basic concept but topic is good so it’s best. good shit.
Maria the Virgin Witch – ugly ass designed main character. the title character looks like shit. her familar which is a white owl/succubus is pretty good. bad design. bad premise. title character is witch but wants to stop people fighting in middle ages. france vs. england and shit. just gets in the way of people fighting because dunno promise to some fools. bad designs. comedy aspect comes from the title character’s status itself. bad. bad. not watch
Sengoku Musou – anime based off of koei’s SAMURAI WARRIORS franchise of games, basically japanese dynasty warriors. sengoku musou just uses the newest games char design and takes place after hidoyoshi and shit united japan but then internal struggle and civil unrest etc. ok. bad bad animation, too bad since char design is ok. basic. plain. whatever. rather just play the game.
Seiken Tsukai no World Break – modern day. people are found that have inherited the powers, magic and memories of their past lives. go to special school for this to hone their skillz. main dude is kinda wussy. does not have power much, can’t fully remember who he was. meets girl at entrance ceromony, apparently past-life’s little sister. cute. hyper girl. got the onii-chan thing going here and fully remembers past life. generic comedy level. some shit happens and girl gets beaten in class by pro guy, main dude can’t stand for that shit, starts fighting like a wuss. eventuall remembers who is was, and realizes he was the strongest knight or some shit, gets magically weapon. so-so char design, kinda bad, but not the worst. generic. animation is meh. generic and over-done kinda premise. harem-ish. bad. whatever
Unlimited Fafnir – some shit about dragons and dragon girls who got same powers as dradons who appeared, ruin shit. got to fight dem. generic premise, done before. go to school, one dude,only dude that has dragon powers for some reason, etc etc light harm-ish. whatever. ok character designs and animation. nothing special.
winter season is just jammed full of sequels and part II’s so i think that just about covers most of everything that is new stuff
ovverall ho-hum season with nothing in particular that is super outstanding unless you are interested in a sequel or season II. best of season is kantai collection, assissination classroom, death parade and koufuku graffiti
for sequels best for me is jojo and shirobako, good shit
