So there’s this thing that’s been showing up lately, it’s called BLACK Friday and it’s basically just an excuse for people to go and buy shit with retailers slashing prices and giving discounts. It’s kind of strange how over the past few years this pseudo-shopping holiday has made it’s way across the border from the USA and into Canada. Technically, from a American point of view it kind of makes sense since the day after American thanksgiving marks the beginning of the gift giving hype train known as Christmas and when retailers actually start to make money, thus finally going into the “BLACK” financially. This is all good and dandy and I welcome this phenomenon with open arms as a Canadian, although it doesn’t really make sense, we already have Boxing Day for more discount sales but who’s complaining? Anyways, I’d thought I’d like to point out all of the nice good BLACK stuff that have been purchased/arrived/observed today.
BLACK PS4 with Uncharted Collection/Last of Us Bundle
Yea, finally brought this thing after like 2 years from walmart for about $370. I actually already have a game ready to play for it but was just waiting for a good time to buy, BLACK Friday seemed like a good time. I used the gift card I got from my company at the beginning of the year and it pretty much covered the cost of the purchase. Fucking walmart employees, can’t even handle a slight increase in retail traffic and had to wait like 10 minutes just to ask if they had this bundle in stock and another 15 minutes to line up and buy it. Shit guys.
BLACK Heart Alter 1/7 PVC Scale Figure
Package came for me today for this figure and I’ll probably do a review of some sort and take pictures and shit when I get around to opening it. BLACK Heart is the transformed version of the character Noire from the Compile Heart PS3 game, Hyperdimensional Neputunia, which basically is about cute girls anthropomorphized as video game consoles/systems and them going at one another. The image pictured at the top of this post is BLACK Heart which actually is supposed to represent the PS3 and BLACK Sister, which is supposed to be the PSP/VITA; well I guess you can say they are just vessels for any Sony gaming hardware. The original game itself is kind of shit but subsequent sequels and spin-offs have gotten alot better and with the anime series that aired awhile back; has made the franchise semi-popular; at the very least for the character designs alone which are very attractive, done by TSUNAKO.
BLACK Seagate 2TB Portable hard Drive
Got this thing from staples for like 90 bucks. Ok deal, every store has the same shit for the exact same price but yea whatever, this was needed. They only had BLACK in stock, although I know it could have came in other colours, yea whatever.
BLACK Ink for Printer
Yea, printer ink is a bitch. There was 2 BLACK cartridges at Staples for the same printer but one was XL and the other was Normal for cheaper price. I asked the store guy what’s the difference, he said none, it’s just that the XL has more ink. I asked him, why is that so? They are the same cartridges size, so why does the XL get more ink? Guy is like, yea Normal one they just fill it less. WHAT THE FUCK. Upon over-hearing this bullshit some BLACK women comes up and says to me something along the lines of, I knoe rite, dem inks such a scame, never b on sale! The store guy is like, yea, what can you do, that’s how it is. In the end, still brought the normal BLACK Ink. Shit.
BLACK Angus Sub from Quizznos
This is what I had for lunch today. Quizznos is pretty much superior in every way to Subway and Mr. Sub sandwiches but their only flaw is that their shit is expensive and somewhat hard to find, unlike fucking Subway which are everywhere. Their BLACK Angus is probably their best sub which is probably why lately BLACK Angus has been popping up around everywhere in fast food places and shit. I guess this is their way to stay in the BLACK with sales of good product.
BLACK Lives Matter Protest on CNN
If the day couldn’t get any more BLACK, I turned on CNN and they were covering the BLACK Lives Matter protest happening during the BLACK Friday sale in Chicago after some other BLACK guy got shot by police like a year ago and they finally released the dash cam video which pretty much confirms the BLACK guy getting killed by the police was too hasty and pre-mature. After that they covered a developing story about a shooter in Colorado during another BLACK Friday shopping area; shit; I guess that guy must have a BLACK heart to pull that shit today.
I also had BLACK Coffee, wore a BLACK shirt today with BLACK shoes and a BLACK Jacket. Pulled a unit in Brave Frontier today which was the dark element, which basically means it’s BLACK and watched Drake’s new music video which made me feel BLACK. Too struggle.
Guess today really is BLACK Friday in more ways then one.
