So the Kancolle Fall 2015 Event just ended a little while ago and I’m proud to say that this is my first event that I fully cleared since I started playing earlier this year. Compared to the Summer Event, this Fall Event was much more manageable and less bullshit than the former; yea I don’t give a shit and ran easy mode starting with E3 although I did clear E1 on hard and E2 on medium. I probably could have done hard but I don’t have the time or patience to plan for this ship locking bullshit, which is probably the most annoying thing ever other than the RNG in this game. But yea, the new boat waifus introduced in this Event are really good this time so I thought it’d be nice to list my favorites/important catches for me.

5. Akashi
Fuck yea, about time. While writing this post in the last hours of the event and running E3 farm; Akashi finally dropped for me. As an essential ship that allows for equipment upgrading and provides an additional repair bay, I have gone far too long playing this shit game without making use of the full game options available to me but with this catch, those days are no more. But seriously, why do the developers do this kind of shit? Making random rare drop boats basically a requirement to progress or do well in the game? Just like requirements for unlocking new stages, like you need the 3 Sendai sisters, 4 Kongo sisters and basically all subs to unlock all expedition quests? Fucking Japanese Gatcha pull/slot mentality.
4. Roma
Originally introduced in the last Summer event I was unable to obtain her due to not giving a shit at the time but now that I got her; feels pretty good. I think I got most of the Italian boats although I haven’t leveled them up much, especially Littorio since her and Roma both require blueprints to upgrade, shit that I don’t have a lot of right now but will eventually since I love battleships. I’m not really a big fan of her design or clothes, mainly due to the fact that it’s so bait with the Italian flag and Spaghetti pasta thing going on; but what do you expect from Japanese stereotypes? At least she has a monocle. Ah well, anyways this was a pleasant surprise since I was losing my mind while farming for…
3. Prinz Eugen
Yes, after something like 40-50+ runs of E4 node M I finally got Prinz Eugen. While not a new boat (originally introduced in last year’s Fall 2014 Event), a lot of new players missed out since the anime aired in Winter 2015 and only then attracted a lot of attention and hence new players wanting to try out the game. As one of a handful of German ships designed by our lord Shimada Humikane, creator and illustrator of the Strike Witches media franchise, she looks pretty cute and very well designed and more importantly a top notch heavy cruiser. What was most annoying was that just like Roma, she wasn’t a boss drop but from a random drop node, meaning that you could kill that shit get S rank and still get nothing. Many fuuukkkks were had during this process but I finally got lucky on a fresh new day after almost of week of E4 M farming. However; at the end of it all, was it worth testing my insanity for this? Yes, totally worth it, especially since I got Roma out of it as a bonus.
2. Graf Zeppelin
Fucking E4 drop again, I think I spent like 50% of my time on this map but it was still alot less painful than getting Prinz Eugen; I actually got Graf Zeppelin before Prinz so it wasn’t so bad. A new ship introduced in this event, Graf is the first German aircraft carrier also designed and illustrated by lord Shimada Humikane and man she looks amazing. Like all German ships, she has the military uniform and hat combo going on except in white and has a cool stare that says “whatever”, yea; I like this; cape thing is good too. It’s interesting to note that in history, Graf Zeppelin technically did not exist, it was under construction but eventually was cancelled and what remained was captured by the Soviet Union. Hmm, does that mean we are going to be seeing more hypothetical boats and incomplete models? Who am I kidding, does it really matter? At this point the creators can make up some brand new shit and everyone well eat it up as long as it’s waifu material, which brings me to…
1. Kashima
Top New Waifu boat no question of Fall 2015 Event. Fuckkkk just look at this design, so hot with the white uniform/hat combo, twintails and white hair not to mention sexy smile. As a stage clear reward for E3 I’m pretty sure most players were able to obtain her and with that in mind, she’s probably one of the most popular new boats from this event based purely on the amount of fanart and doujin materials that have been created for her already and for good reason. As my first training cruiser she provides exp bonus when doing pvp which is great for ship leveling. But man, her design is just so good; she also has pretty big boobs, but you couldn’t really tell unless hit in the red. If they ever create a figure of Kashima I’ll probably end up buying it…well the same can be said for Graf and Prinz; I know there is one in the works for Prinz but I can’t really say yet as it’s still in prototype phase. Yea, boat waifus are great.
Honorable Mentions: A bunch of event only destroyers not named Akizuki. Yea, too many destroyers man.
