While the Kancolle Fall 2015 Event may be over, I think it’s a good time to take a moment and highlight the Heroes of Our Time; the MVP boat waifus that performed and excelled their call of duty during these battles on the high seas and led their admiral to victory. It’s also a nice excuse to post some pretty pictures so yea, here we go:
5. Akitsumaru
This normally useless expedition boat helped me with a lot of easier branching for E3 and allowed for easier depletion of the fuel gauge thing for the maps that required it. Good work, too bad your original artwork looks like shit.
4. Suzuya/Kumano
These two aircraft cruisers were used in almost every map in some degree and performed well in providing shelling support and air strikes when needed for subs and e4 m farming as flagships. It helps that Suzuya has big boobs, but you wouldn’t know it so I didn’t mind when she got hit into the red.
3. Shigure/Yuudachi
Being a very heavy destroyer based event, these top damage destroyers would always be used in my fleets in some capacity and performed well regardless if they were setup for double attack, anti-sub or even full torpedo cut-in setups. Plus they are cute, fucking POI bitch, anime show character bait represent yo.
2. Maya
I don’t have a lot of high leveled heavy cruisers but when I needed one I always went with Maya, mainly for her anti-air cut in possibility and well rounded stats and because of that she is now my highest leveled heavy cruiser. Plus she’s voiced by Nao Toyama, fucking Kongo best seiyuu re-incarnate bitches, I think at one point I had an entire fleet with boats voiced by her, thus plus ten.
1. Sendai
For some reason Sendai was my go-to light cruiser, being my highest leveled also helps but I think my logic went something like this: “Hmm, looking at the wiki it says that there is some mandatory night battle on this map and I need a CL for flagship… looks like I better bring Sendai to the battle, she loves YASEN anyways.” Thus with the romantic fantasy of fulfilling her character archetype, Sendai became the top Hero of Our Time; providing easier map branching, strong night battle critical hits and many boss final kills especially with that weird new combined fleet setup which requires your escort fleet to attack first. Good job Sendai, your YASEN is the best YASEN.
Honorable Mentions: All other decently leveled destroyers and Kitakami/Ooi, Kongo/Haruna for high damage when possible.
