The first American carrier in Kancolle. That’s what this event was all about. Who gives a shit if you can get 2 brand new drop only destroyers or the first French boat; a shitty Seaplane Tender from a map clear. Who gives a shit, this event is about making Kancolle Great Again, via AMERICAN NAVAL SUPREMACY. CUZ AFTER ALL, THEY WON THE WAR RIGHT? Right? For what it’s worth in this bullshit event, I ended up picking up ALL of the new boats, even drop ones. Wow, lucky me I guess? Wow, looks like I’m going to have to expand my ship slots again when time comes for the Winter Event, fucking DMM. I didn’t get anything else, only the new shit which is kind of surprising.
4. Asakaze
You look like shit. Worse than your other kamakaze class destroyers. I’m not feeling your clothes, pose or your facial expression. Even hair I’m not really digging. You also kind of look like a bitch with that mean expression, kinda smug looking. Bah. Another garbage trophy DD.
3. Commandant Teste
You are the first French boat in this game. You are alright I guess, not as bad as Asakaze but in my opinion still kind of shit. I’m not really feeling her clothes or the very french color scheme, especially her hair which is dyed or with ribbons of blue, white and red? Her clothes is excessively baggy, making her seem fat and her beret is standard French stereotype. Not a fan of the art style either. Ah well, will still level up probably because I don’t have any seaplane tenders. Still not as shit as Asakaze.
2. Yamakaze
For another destroyer of the Shiratsuyu class, she is actually pretty cute and unique. Green hair is relatively rare in this game and her personality is super weak and lazy but also kind of shy and all which makes her kind of funny. I’m sure there is an actual word to describe her archetype but dunno, works for me. Her black uniform is similar to the rest of her class, but bearing more resemblance to Kawakaze and the more recent drops of this class, or at the very least kai2 Poi and Shigure. I hope that she gets a kai2 one day since her equipment and stats suggest her being a strong anti-sub destroyer in the future. Not bad.
1. Saratoga
This is it. The first AMERICAN carrier in Kancolle, Saratoga. Once again done by lord Shizuma Yoshinori, best boat designer in the game, she is very different from Iowa in many respects. First of all, she is actually kind of reserved and ladylike in comparison to the “America, Fuck Yea!” kind of gungho personality that is embodied within Iowa. Being a carrier and all, and showing her SUPERIOR AMERICAN MILITARY POWER, her device of choice to “DEPLOY” or send out planes is a flightdeck Tommy Gun, shit wow. While all the pitiful Nihon carriers still use bows and arrows and at best, a crossbow; Saratoga completely ruins their shit with a machine gun. Hell yea. Even more cool is the fact that she hides her extra “ROUNDS” underneath her skirt. Her dress is very nice and elegant yet cute/sexy at the same time. Her Kai upgrade changes her color to black, which also looks good. Her use of English is not as much as Iowa but at least it’s “better” I suppose, which is usually limited to a “Oh my god” or “Hello” or “Attack”, single simple lines, ok fine with me. With a formidable bust size and reddish-brown hair and scarf, she makes for excellent waifu material for those interested. Great job master lord. Worth it.
Bonus: Burger Boats just doing their thing. Pretty cute.
