Alright then, the last full day of the convention is here and I still have alot of unfinished business to take care of. I don’t know if I saw/did everything that I wanted to or planned but either way this was a long day with the most photos taken. A few more cosplay photos like the one above of FGO best attackers Jalter and Salter but yea, don’t expect too much more than that, it’s hard to take cosplay photos when you are buying shit and going to things.

Decided to go to J-List to see what goods they have as well but they too had a line to get into their booth. Shit man, line con still persists. Decided to fuck it and wait in line.

The line wrapped around another booth, which I think was also J-list but just their normal goods, nothing 18+ which was what the line to get in was for. Interesting assortment of shit.

Boys at it again with the fighting game tournament, this time it’s serious.

This dealer had only official touhou merch which is pretty cool. But it was strangely empty without crowds in front.

Started looking at these little plush things. Kinda wanted to buy one since I already have a few in a similar style/size. Looked at the tag on the right post it note. “$75”. I looked at this for awhile, asked the shopkeeper, “how much is this?” “$75” “for one?” “yea.” I then put the flandre plushie back in it’s spot and walked away. Shit so expensive just for one. $30 for one maybe, but 75? that’s like major price grouching right there due to rarity.

Oh hay, it’s Toronto’s most famous artist, Sakimichan doing her thing in the dealers area cause you know, too much business and such. Huge display and a notable 18+ area at that.

Such a wide variety of prints and shit. I wait a bit to get into the 18+ area of her booth and it was kinda disappointing, nothing out of the ordinary that I haven’t seen already and much more gay stuff than usual. Ah well.

This artist was outstandingly painterly and very well detailed. I brought some of her shit, lots in fact. Really outstanding beautiful work, even if some of it was copied/referenced from real photos, probably her own.

Really nice illustrations in a certain style, very detailed clean and crisp. Odin’s sphere art is very plus but in the end I opted not to buy.

My Convention Miracle Story…

Story time. After failing to get an autograph ticket for Toshimichi Mori I had all but given up on getting autograph shit outside of the ones for Ideafactory girls that I did on the second day. I got a text message from Mark saying that ishikei, a well known popular ero artist known for boobs was still here doing signing and that tickets weren’t required to get an autograph. I was already in the artist alley, which shares the same space for autographs so I said, hell, why not, let’s go over and check the board of schedules and timeslots. I go up to the board and I don’t see any indication of ishikei or his time slot. Just as I was looking at this board, another guy, some random asian guy comes up to the same board and says, “hey do you know where to go to get ishikei’s autograph?” I was like “no man, but I’m looking for the same thing, I love ishikei’s work.” he goes on like “yea, man, I love how he draws his boobs, I love Tittiki” which is the name of one of his published books. As this goes on one of the organizers notices that we are standing in front of the board, blocking the view from other people, and asks us who are we looking for. We tell her that we are looking for ishikei, she directs us to one of the lines for autographs but says she is not sure, I think his time is over but maybe he’s still there. So me and this random dude go and walk to the line, we wait for about 5 minutes and continue to talk about boobs and such, I learn that the dude is an artist himself, at least an amateur artist and wants ishikei to sign his pencil board. He opens up his bag and it’s filled with pencil boards, holy shit, and mentions that he only goes to these things to get autographs and whatnot of his favorite artists and people in the industry. He pulls out a pencil board with some art on it already, he says it’s one custom made with his own artwork, I’m like wow man, that’s serious shit. His drawings itself are not bad but honestly looks a bit dated in style. Anyways I am standing here thinking to myself and realize, oh shit, I don’t have anything for ishikei to sign! I say this and this random guy gives me one of his empty boards, says he won’t use it anyway since it’s a bit damaged. I ask him, are you sure? guy is like “No problem man, anything for a fellow boob lover” I’m like, shittt lol and thank him. We stand for a few more minutes and ask the guys in front who this line is for and we learn that it’s not for ishikei. Shittttt, we have been standing in the wrong line for like 10 minutes. We ask another organizer and she says, oh maybe that one, over there, where there is nobody. So me and this guy goes over to what seems like an empty space, no line, just an empty table with line 3-4 asian guys just standing there. Other dude is like, “we are looking for ishikei, do you know where he is located?” Just as this happens another asian guy comes back to the group and is like, “oh, your looking for ishikei?” He points at one of the older looking guys and says “that’s him.” Me and the random dude is like, oh shitttt, it’s ishikei. We ask for an autograph from the translator guy and ishikei agrees, even though his signing period is over. Random dude asks it to be made out to “Xero” or something, can’t remember, probably his pen name. When he is done I ask ishikei to make it out to “Matt” through translator. As he writes on my board I tell him via translator that I love his works and have been following his works for over 10 years. Translator dude does his thing and ishikei laughs a bit and thanks me for my support. After I receive my board I thank the party again and they walk way back into the crowd. A convention miracle had just happened.

After my convention miracle, I know it’s almost time to meet up with the other guys to go to our final conert. On my way I see this pretty good Saber Alter and Jeanne Alter. Nice, I asked for this one so it’s good.

Walked into some other hall and this crazy shit is here. Arby’s Soul Calibur Nightmare sculpture made from boxes and shit. Lol wow, serious sponsorship.

Oh shit, Devil may cry 4 cosplay, Nero. They announced Devil May Cry 5, a real title so looking forward to see how not angst his boi has become.

So yea, I am already inside the micosoft thetre, going to my merch for the concert. Today we are doing a collection of cute idol groups like Cinderella girls, Shoko Nakagawa and AKB48 whatever sub group. Yea.

Alot of the shit was already sold. There was surprisingly very little people buying shit for his concert. I went up to the counter and stood there for awhile looking at the merch. I wanted to buy something but wasn’t sure, the girl at the counter said so what are you interesting in. I said Idolmaster Cinderella girls and she suggested some cds and box sets from them. I was like, it’s ok, I guess I’ll take this one, pointing to one of the cheaper cds. She asks me, “oh, you don’t seem very enthusiastic about it, buying this cd I mean” and I’m like “Yea, I’m not that big a fan to be honest, i’m not hardcore like some people, just a casual fan”. She laughs a bit and commended me on my honest. Lol true dat.

So yea, unlike the other concerts were we were closer up, we were in the back rows far back this time around because we are tired and want to sit and be lazy. Plus I can take photos and videos and shit and no one can bother me. Yas. Idolmaster Cinderella girls on stage, well at least some of them are, there is too many so only those that could/wanted to come are here.

Can’t remember this group, I think it was Iris or something? Reminded me of power rangers with the color coded theme. But then again, every group kinda does this.

Shoko Nakagawa was the last performer and was pretty entertaining, spoke a good amount of English. Notice the empty seats. I think the show was only filled up to like 60-75% capacity so kinda sad. Probably because not many care for these groups or maybe because it’s the last full day and people have other events/panels to see that took priority of this concert. Either way it was a good balanced concert that should have been the first concert of the con as Shoko sang anime songs and shit which was really a nice touch. There was AKB48 photo somewhere but I forgot or accidentally deleted it from this edited group of photos, ah-well whatever.

Outside of the last show, looks like it’s still bright outside.

Suns coming down, microsoft theatre space is filled with all this other shit that wasn’t here the previous days. One piece and snow cones. After the concert we split up again and did our own thing. I decided to wander the area more.

I see all these signs everywhere but never once have I actually attended a cosplay photo shoot granted the busy times and events always going on.

Wait a second…I recognize this character, it’s Yuudachi; Poi from kancolle boats cosplay! In fact, I think it’s the same person who did the same Yuudachi at Anime North this Year! Holy shit. Look at this photo.  I am like 90% sure that this person is the same one from Anime North. Wow, do these people go to to all the conventions?

While the main hall and artist alley are closed by 6-7pm the “Entertainment Hall” is open till like 9 or 10pm I think. I had neglected to even step foot into this area until today so I decided to check it out. As one can see above there is some representation from some big companies like Blizzard pushing their shit selling some merch too.

You don’t see it but everywhere in the con this kind of sight is common, groups of friends and people just sitting down everywhere resting and chilling cause damn, it’s so tiring.

Took my order to take out cause the place had no seating. They ran out of bigger boxes and only had kid sized boxes, so they had to kinda break the pizza a bit in order to fit the box.

Outside with my personal margarita pizza with balsamic vinegar reduction. Pretty tasty shit, really good and pretty damn cheap considering the price.

These guys on the right were in line just before me, they had pizza too. Yep.

After the pizza I went back to the hotel and pretty much dead tired. This Saturday was the last full day of Anime Expo as Sunday would end much quicker as they close up everything by like 3pm or so. Overall today was a very busy day with the final concert and very balanced if I do say so myself. I did a quick round of the main hall, went through most of artist alley, experienced a convention miracle with my ishikei autograph story and brought tons of shit again, this time alot of it being artwork from artists alley and t shirts. I was so tired I didn’t’ even bother taking out all of my loot and spreading it out like previous days. Ahwell. Good times.
