Atlanta Trip 2024 – Day 0

So then we begin our mini adventure in Atlanta at the airport. Me and my sister are here to experience the Nier Orchestra Concert and a few other tourist things and see what this Southern city has to offer. Let’s see how it goes for the usual day 0 travel day. The day started off with a late fight at like 6:15pm, we got here at around 8:00pm, quicker than expected, noice.

So we arrived in Atlanta without much trouble, we had ample amount of time to rest at Pearson which is good. The international terminal at the Atlanta was pretty busy, I mean they say this airport is the busiest in the US so that makes sense.

After a short taxi cab we arrived at our hotel, that place was super busy man, apparently there was a volleyball competition going on ye. I have never seen so many blonde white girls that look the same in a single place in time lol. When we got our keys for our room it looked like this. A single queen sized bed. This is not what I had booked. What the fuck? I went back down to ask the lobby guy and he said that that this was the only room that they had left. I said that I booked via Expedia and that I booked 2 queen sized beds, why is this only one. He checked again and said that for some reason the booking that I had didn’t exist at the hotel, whatttt. I went back to the room and busted open my laptop and opened up the expedia chat agent chat. I explained our situation but at the end of the day nothing could be done. Fuckk. I have to contact them after our stay for maybe a slight refund of the cost difference between room, man. What a pain in the ass. The lobby guy offered to have a roll out bed or cot and I said yes. As of this writing, is has not come, and probably won’t come until tomorrow. Mann. We gotta share this tiny bed, we have no choice.

After the hotel expedia fuckup we were pretty tired so we decided to go to the Waffle House, one of most famous chains in the South that opens 24/7. This particular one was located just north of our hotel, which was located in what they call in Atlanta “Mid Town” in the Georgia tech campus.

As it can be see, the staff are entirely black people, which is fine and makes sense because the population of Atlanta has a very high black population. You can see the cooking shit and food as soon as you come in behind the counters. The place was very busy, at the time it was like just past 11:00pm. Very late night dinner, but you gotta do what you gotta do when you arrive late.

My sister looks very tired, she worked today and had a field trip with her shit students. It did not go as smoothly as expected with standard incidents of hooliganism between the usual suspects.

Proof of existence. Gotta keep of the same poses like in NYC you know. Nice background cooking person too. This had far better lighting then expected.

Me and my sister ordered the same thing, texas style bacon patty melt and hash browns. In Waffle House they have different toppings you can add to upgrade your hash browns. I got cheese, onions and mushrooms, I originally asked for ham but they fucked up my order but that’s ok, I didn’t’ say anything. Still pretty damn good. This meal I think comes out to like $11.25 with tax included, pretty damn good value man in today’s world.

And lastly we had a pecan waffle for ‘dessert’ I guess although you can technically do this for breakfast too. Pretty damn good, nice fake butter and syrup. Good shit. I think this cost $5.25, noice.

By the time we were done our meal it was like 11:30pm-ish. We wanted to get some water for our room so we walked to a wallgreens that was deceiving far but got water. We got this Deer Park water, pretty decent and a few other water items. Of course the portable bed/rollout bed did not come, fuck, gotta share the bed. Overall this hotel is pretty shit. Fuck lol. On top of the fuckup, I had to pay an additional $75 per night damages deposit in case there is damages in the hotel, what the fuck. Sure they say that I will get my $300 back for the 4 nights that I will stay here but who knows.

While today’s travel was good, the hotel situation is pretty abysmal. Well, at least the concert is tomorrow, so I hope things go as planned there.
