Today we go back home, for real this time after a night in Vancouver so we gotta catch a plane and sleep all the way. Let’s see how today went and let’s show some of the merch that I got in this crazy summer Alaskan Cruise and Anirevo before it, yeaboi.

We check out of the hotel easy and it’s like 7:30am I think. Our flight it as like 10:45am I think so ample amount of time.
One of the things I like about Vancouver is that it’s so easy and quick to go from the airport to downtown Vancouver via the skytrain, it’s just one train from the airport and your there. Unlike Pearson at home, it’s like bullshit, you have to either go downtown train or take a Cab and shit is expensive.
Proof of skytrain ride home existence. There already wasn’t very many seats on the train already so I just took the whole way, it’s ok, we’ll be sitting for a long time anyways so it’s fine.
My mom and sister get off the train successfully but ponder something, probably if we have to tap out using our credit cards again or not. We do.
Gotta drop off our bags again, more more cleaner and efficient than Pearson I think based purely on layout.
For some reason our mom got stopped again for further inspections of her carry on luggage for security customs. Seems like that sunscreen lotion she was carrying before on her checked luggage is too big liquid for a carry on, gotta throw it away. Ahwell. It always goes this way for suntan lotions I think, RIP.
Lee’s Donuts again at the airport, we brought a half a dozen to take back home. Good shit, recommended.
It’s technically like 9am now so still breakfast but we decided to get a breafast/lunch thing at the same place we had last year.
Yep, gotta get that Triple O’s canadian fast food out here in the west. They really should bring this over to Ontario, it’s not bad.
I got this smokehouse supreme burger, I actually can’t remember what’s in it, I think bacon, cheese, jalapenios, fried onions and bbq sauce? Their fries are ok, not my thing tho, too thick.
I am not sure if this is my sister’s burger or not, she got a bacon cheeseburger. She said it was good.
My BBQ smokehouse burger, it was good to. If I described it last year, Triple O’s reminds me of a fusion of burger king and Wendy’s if that makes sense and it’s pretty solid. Would again cause canada.
On the plane without much issue or delay, once again for some reason even tho I check in, Air Canada auto assigns up like the worst seats almost every time, We are at like the very back again, like second last row. On coming here it was also like the last seats so who knows.
Fast forward like 3-4 hours and we are beginning to make our way slowly down. I get up to let my mom and sister go to the washroom and this is the view that I see. Hm, interesting to see people making use of their on screen shit, some people I think also brought internet on the plane, wow so rich.
We arrive back in Toronto without incident, I slept the whole way except for the last hour or so, which is good. Still tired tho. Gotta get our luggage now.
There is still some remnants of the world cup artifacts in the airport. Not gonna lie, this is pretty ghetto lol.
My dad is unable to pick us up this time so we have to taxi it back all the way home. Our taxi ride was pleasant and air conditioned with our driver some turban guy, sure. I didn’t know this before but taxi rides from the airport to wherever is a flat fee, nice, but no matter what that means driving all the way to Scarborough is going to be like $90-100 or so with tip like $115 ouch but what can you do.
In any regards, we make it back home sleepy and tried but safe, yay, trip complete we did it! With that said, let’s take a look at some of the merch/goods I got throughout this trip.
At anirevo I didn’t’ end up buying too much stuff, just some keychains of vtubers stuff that I haven’t seen before. I did however, end up buying some indomie mi goreng merch tho lol damn. Shit was pretty cheap too so why not, it’s among my favorite instant noodles so why not support I am a fan after all. Some keychains at the top are some jokes kirbyy like costco food keychains and that same scene food artist that we brought from before last year and at AN last year, it’s his home base after all.
I ended up buying some official anirevo merch, tshirt and their hoodie, their ‘seimei’ hoodie, I wasn’t going to buy the hoodie but once I felt their sample I was like shitt, it’s a thin hoodie, guess I’m buying it. Free fan from the indomie guys too since we brought shit and did gacha for it.
When you are a first time Disney cruiser such as myself they are supposed to give you some shit, like a pin or something like “my first cruise” my mom forgot to mention that and asked if there was any free shit available. There wasn’t, and it was like near the end of the cruise so they run out of those badges, instead they just gave her these instead since whatever, lol jokes.
I have over the years have become something of a hat collector, and here are some of the hats that I got. My criteria is not that high, just be non-generic hat that has an exact attraction/place/event/company rather than the city or general place like “Alaska” and be a not bad design and can tell a story on it’s own where/when I got said hat. Tracy’s Crab Shack, Mendalhall Glacier and White pass Train yukon route all meet those criteria.
These hats also satisfy my requirements since they are companies located in very specific locations in Juneau and Ketchikan respectively, please they just look nice too, even without a story or context, Pass.
Not gonna lie, Alaska gift shops have got good shit for tshirt designs, at least the kind of stuff that I like to wear. Ended up with more shirts that I expected.
More shirts, I even brought the shit on the bottom left that helps funds high schools in Ketchikan, it’s a pretty good design honestly. The top right I got in vancouver from my sister’s favorite native goods store, not bad native shit.
My haul of magnets and keychains for a variety of the places/towns I went to for this trip. I even brought a keychain from Saxman Alaska, which was that ghetto village tour lol damn. I used to get more keychains but since I am running out of room and corkboards to display them, I have pivoted slightly to fridge magnets, I mean my fridge still got room, so why not? I also have a wooden Disney cruise magnet but I think I left it at my parents place when we were repacking and reorganizing merch.
Ah yea boi, my collection of stupid collector medallion coins this time around lol. The majority were got from Ketchikan, probably more than half of them and the rest coming from Juneau, they are quite interesting designs indeed. That small ass coin on the top right was a gift from just entering a jewerly store, which is what they do for everything in jewelry stores up there. The big one in a case is one I brought straight up from a store, it’s nice but expensive like $10. Each one of these coins cost $5, so you are looking at like over $100 in fake collectable coins lol, so dumb but I think it’s a great souvenir collectable.
That about ends my merch this time around, mainly trinkets, magnets, and clothes, which is fine. Overall a decent haul, but nowhere near as crazy as I did last time or what we did on the London or Vegas trips lol, still solid tho.
The next photos are something I should have put on the other post but might aswell do here since this post is so short; some of the interesting decorated doors that our floor had on the 2nd level cabins.
This room really likes frozen, I approve. Those small Elsa sprite like stickers are quite nice.
Holy shit based on the magnets on the door these guys have gone on so many Disney cruises, shittt must be rich.
Very Alaska themed, needs more Disney shit on it.
Nice stickers and star wars representation even tho it’s so little here at this cruise.
Fantastic door and illustration to go with it. These guys thought hard about this shit. Probably been here before aswell since that sign one is an exact copy of a keychain/magnet merch that can be brought.
Nice way to use those free mardi gras beads but otherwise kinda weak.
Kinda generic and weak, try harder.
Stickers weak but the mailbox is a nice touch to have ‘Pixie dust’ distribution.
Weak, only moana magnet sticker?
These guys are veterans wow so many cruises.
Slick, gotta keep the Frozen Elsa theme going tho.
Damnnnnn, Korean Canadian with photos of the kids on them shitttt. This is a bit overboard in my opinion. I really hope this is not Sung Jin-woos and family’s room, but it very well may be fuckkk. RIP.
Nice, looks like somebody celebrated their birthday on the boat this time.
Minimalist but it works straight to the point, the letter pockets for ‘Pixie dust’ is doing some heavy lifting here.
Yes, these guys are hyped for Alaska indeed.
Japanese family knows what’s up, strong winnie the pooh presence here. So brave these guys for putting actual photos of themselves on the door.
Brett family represent from Canada, nice. Simple and informative, family of 4.
Not sure about this one, the characters are nice but is there little girl called Maddie with the cat? Maybe British but who knows.
Pretty good shit, handmade is always nice. I am not sure but those other ghetto stickers were left by other passengers. Wow, so much effort but I suppose that’s part of the culture for Disney cruises I guess.
And last but not least is our door, yes, my sister made all of this shit custom I think, even the little Aerial and Tinkerbell plush face things. Many a time I believe my sister said she saw many people walk by our door and compliment on how well made it is, especially the plush things. For some reason we got a lot of ‘pixie dust’ from asian families, unknowingly from Chinese, Japanese and Korean families as the gifts they gave us shows that the candies or merch was from Japan/korea etc. My sister also made some custom handmade gifts to give to others in their own pouches but ran out like halfway through the cruise, ahwell. Nice door I guess.
With that said, that ends this posting series on the Summer 2026 trip to Vancouver/Anirevo and Alaska, overall this was a good trip but more tiring than I expected to be honest. I knew that the first couple of days will be somewhat tiring due to anirevo, which by the way was ok, I wouldn’t mind coming to Vancouver for anirevo again but it really really depends on the guests and cause, if there was hololive or other special things I would be interested in. If not, I would not come, it’s not worth it.
As for the cruise itself, I have some mixed feelings about it. While the overall Disney cruise experience is excellent, the presentation, quality and service are all top notch and put most hotel/restaurant service to shame; it is very obvious that this particular Disney cruise experience is not targeted towards me or adults being the main focus. While they try their best to promote spaces and events as ‘adult’ only events and venues, they offer little else to do in terms of activities for anyone who doesn’t want to make crafts, play music trivia games, line up for character photos, or sit through some lecture about gems or jewelry to get discount coupons or free charms. The vast majority of the ship’s onboard activities catered towards events within the ‘oceaneers’ club, which is like a kids only area with like playground shit. I have no idea what went on in those events/places but it must be a hella good time for the kids I guess. The best part of this cruise no doubt is the food, the Cabanos buffet for breakfast and lunch are incredible value and quality and the rotational dining is also a good experience but it does get old once some dishes start looking and tasting the same. I wish they had more ethnic themed foods at rotational dining and less the western/European focused mock fine dining that they were trying to do. I am a fat ass, I know that most of the shit we eat at rotational dining is the same shit we eat at lunch buffet at Cabanos but given a second life as other dishes and etc, which is common. I honestly would have preferred a dinner buffet instead, but I understand why they do rotational dining in order to make use of the available food resources and extend them. Tritons is shit restaurant vibe the worst, Tianas is good even tho noisy and gimmicky, Animators Palate is the best place to eat, no question. Palo is an absolute scam only for rich white people who don’t want to sit with common less rich folk at the regular buffet times, it’s the same food. Unlimited soft drinks and coffee and food anytime of the day mostly are great, even ghetto burgers and pizza apparently, even night wings. The cleaner person did their job and our bed was made, sleeping on a bunk like bed is alright, kinda small but it will do. The live shows were all good except for the last one which was mid, they need to revamp and replace that one. One thing that I really dislike is the lack of internet at sea. I am not sure if all cruises are like this but the fact that I have to pay like $28 per 24/hr on the boat to get internet at sea is a pain. I wish it was free or at least more affordable, I ended up paying 3 instances of that $28 because I couldn’t stand it anymore, I needed internet to post shit and upload photos, play/login to my mobile games and even then the speeds are shit shaky. Perhaps it’s a first world problem but in today’s world internet is like a utility, you need it. Some people like to have a ‘digital’ detox and get away from it all with no internet, i say fuck that, I need internet. For that reason alone, cruising is already not an ideal vacation arrangement for me, as I enjoy posting and recording my daily activities but when anything that hinders that activity for me, be it lack of internet, the speed or the high cost for connection, that is a clear negative for me. Combined with the fact that 95% of the Disney cruise activities I had no interest in, what am I supposed to do for those days at sea? You know what I did right? I aura farmed looking out at the eat and chilled on the fourth deck for hours, doing nothing but looking out at the beautiful sea and Alaskan scenery, looking for Sung Jin-woo and family, that’s what. As for the Alaskan ports themselves, Skagway was probably my favorite, then Juneau then Ketchikan. Skagway was so ghetto and rustic, it was like going back in time to gold rush cowboy days and the small town ensured that you missed nothing of note, as it’s such a small town, plus it had the nice Trainride and Yukon suspension bridge, those were great. Juneau was good with the Mendenhall glacier and Nugget falls being a highlight but the rest of the tour/city we didn’t’ have enough time to explore fully, although the crab was good. Ketchikan was the worst, the worst excursion, ultra ghetto native dance shit, museum and gimmeky lumberjack show; perhaps the town itself would be much better had we spent that time exploring the town more but that didn’t happen so that’s too bad I guess. With that said, would I go back to Alaska? Probably not, I have no reason to go to any of the locations we visited again and I had my fill of the nice Alaskan scenery for a long time. As for doing another Disney Cruise? I am not sure, while I rate the overall cruise experience in general objectively like a 8/10, I am not sure if I would do it again as I like to take my time visiting places at my own speed and leisure. The constant rush to get on the boat, get off the boat and not miss shows, scheduled dinner event times makes me feel like in school, else you get left behind like Sung Jin-woo and family who apparently couldn’t handle Juneau on time. I would perhaps try doing a much shorter cruise, of like 2-4 nights but anything longer I think is too long, and also a not Disney Cruise at that, perhaps one that will offer more entertainment and activities more appropriate for my age, instead of princess photo ops and trivia games offered here. Who knows, perhaps in a few years I will long for the structured safety of cruises and the pretty glamor from the Disney princesses and Mickey, but that day has not come for me, at least not yet.
