So today, there is no major events for me, just the main stage show and just more eating and for the most part that largely reflects that lifestyle. Being a day at sea marks basically the end of the cruise and winding down of the party, let’s see how this chill day played out for me, from my perspective.
First things first, gotta wake up and have breakfast at Cabanos. We all ate breakfast today, as the final breakfast buffet gotta get all the same favorites again. They had the mickey churro waffles again so got two, good shit. Everything else is the same.
I started eating oatmeal with a bunch of shit in it, it’s good for you and keeps me regular.
My sister and mom had some other activities to do so I was just around aura farming in memory of Sung Jin-woo and family on the 4th deck again.
While there is nothing to see when it’s a day out at sea, I like the calm emptiness.
After chilling out here for an hour or so, I figured our cleaner had cleaned our room by now and he did. I go inside and he left the luggage tags we are supposed to put on our shit. Looks like we are team goofy in terms of luggage tags team. I spent the next 2 hours or so back in our room just trying to catch up to uploading and writing posts for the past few days with celluar at sea I brought.
My sister and mom came back to the room after whatever it is they were doing and we began to start packing up our shit, since we are supposed to have all our bags ready to be put outside our door and tagged by 10pm tonight. If we don’t do this we will have to move the luggage out ourselves mangually. They also provide you a little card of the tip that you paid your servers and cleaning guy throughout the cruise, if you want you can give them more in a little envelope but yea, interesting.
After trying to pack it was already time for lunch, as the last lunch at cabanos they had quite alot of different new shit to eat which is really cool like for instance fried calamari, white fish shit.
The most unique thing they had was indian food like fish curry and tikka masla and nan bread and biryani.
Said bread nan and channa and biryani. Since it was so different from the typical white fare they had all cruise lots of people were getting it, including myself. In my opinion they should have put more ethnic regional foods like this early on or midway through the cruise, not literally the last full day lunch meal.
Roast leg of lamb and mint sauce.
Brisket again but it’s probably going to be a bit dry just like I had the first time but still good I guess.
My first plate, loaded up since it’s the last lunch buffet. The lamb was kinda shit, too gamy so didn’t really eat much of it. They had mini steak sirloin bites which were also too tough do kinda didn’t eat that either. They also had proper shepherds pie made of real lamb meat which I didn’t eat either, the lamb meat was too gamy. Why lamb so gamy today? it was fine the other days so who knows.
South Asian corner brown people represent.
My second plate filled with indian curry and tikka masala and calamari, good shit.
Today’s soft serve ice cream was just vanilla chocolate swirl mixed. I think the special was mint again so yea, skippa skippa.
Upon packing our mom solved a mystery that was caused by her own memory lapse. She had thought that she had lost/misplaced her bag of drugs and medicines in Vancouver during one of her independent adventure days but it turns out it was just in a hidden pocket in her luggage. Proof of mystery solved.
Proof of mystery solved part 2, the case of the missing drug bag, it was here all along in this pocket. Wow. so she was the culprit all along.
After we finished packing our luggage it was almost time for the last stage show of the cruise, a show called “Enchanted Dreams” which is a show that has been running on Disney cruises for like 26 years they said, we’ll, let’s see how this goes up against “The Golden Mickey’s” and “Frozen” which were pretty good.
Proof of final show wearing ears edition before show.
Proof of final show existence, I guess were dead then soon after I guess.
And that ends the “Enchanted Dreams” show, overall a mid show in my opinion, the two former shows are much better in my opinion. This show’s format is kinda outdated, they try to make it up to date with the main character using an Ipad instead of calling on a phone but still the acts they picked the singing segments were from Aladdin, Cinderella, Lion King, Little Mermaid, beauty and the beast, Tangled and Peter Pan, while commendable movies, are dated especially the Aladdin considering our current times. Tangled is odd since it’s the only 3d animated movie in the mix. Overall it’s was mid and very similar to the Golden Mickey’s show but just inferior in every possible way in my opinion, they should sunset this show and make some other shit. The audience felt the same as well probably, while nearly everyone was up for a standing ovation for the Frozen show only like 1/3 stood for this one.
On our way back check up on the fouth floor deck, is he here? Sung Jin-woos ghost and family is calling? The further we go the less I feel his presence.
The entire cruise itself is focused on core Disney characters like Mickey and friends and the princesses, namely Elsa from Frozen because it’s by far the most popular Disney princess movie still no question but occasionally some marvel characters pop up for autographs or photo shots. This here is a popup photo op with a lightsaber, one of the few star wars things for this cruise other than maybe trivia.
Speaking of trivia, it was was time for our last attempt at winning a meal for triva, this time for music again but all decades. It’s here in that pub again. Lots of people showed up, we had no chance.
Got bodied hard. I realized I don’t know most mainstream music only meme ass songs and my sister is far better for all music from 2000’s and up. I know almost nothing lol.
At last our final dinner of the cruise, back at the best place, Animators palate.
This place is the best vibe restaurant by far. Triton is so shit.
On this day, we were instructed to draw some shit on these papers with markers. I am assuming they are going to do something with them.
Proof of final meal existence upper lip messed up covered edition I have no idea.
Our final dinner menu. From my understanding from my sister, all places get this menu for the final dinner so there is no variation today, hm.
Proof of dinner existence final edition.
Thumbs up existence, for the final dinner existence.
Some bullshit bread, I don’t even know anymore.
Got some cream of lobster bisque, shits pretty good.
Some spinach soup that my sister got, not bad she said.
Some mushroom pasta pocket pouch things my mom got. Not bad, solid.
App for some satay skewers and rice I got and my sister got too. Wow, they pulling some Asian flavors on the last day? Where was this throughout the rest of the cruise? Pretty decent.
Some burrata cheese thing that my sister and mom got, whatever cheese.
We all got this main dish, beef wellington oh shit. Does it stack up to the Hell’s Kitchen version from Gordon Ramesy? lol not even close. While the meat is cooked perfectly, it is not wrapped in procetto so it’s missing some saltiness and fat. The mushroom duxcelle spread is too much and is too wet/moist, it’s supposed to be bone dry and because it’s not dry, the water moisture has made the puff pastry soggy and chewy. By Gordon’s standards and the one I had in Vegas this is a fail, but for cruise ship? I give it a pass, they tried their best.
Also got this pasta and shrimp dish on the side to share, not that great, only really ate the shrimp and the pasta was overcooked soft, sauce too acidic for me. So it was left mostly as is except for the shrimp.
Also got this chicken snitchel, sliced it up a bit, and tasted, dry as a bone, nope, only ate like half too bad. The potatoes were not bad tho.
My dessert was some apple cake thing and vanilla ice cream. Solid shit good stuff.
My mom and sister got this ‘celebration’ cake, it’s basically just a strawberry cheesecake, it was good, quite good they both said.
When the desserts came, it was time for the show to start. The screens started showing all of the drawings that guests drew earlier before the meal, they scanned them in and templates them into animation movements for the show. cool.
That blue shit on the right is my drawing dancing with tigger, nice.
Pretty interactive I’d say.
Once the animation show is done they show your autographs on the video, cool.
They then give you back your drawings with a nice stamp of approval seal of quality. nice. My mom didn’t draw that shit, my sister did for her so fraud.
My sister draw some dragon thing, not bad.
I draw some green white gangster with clocks because the time is coming to an end and we were on our way out. Overall the last dinner was nice but could be much better, some of the items were misses but some were good, too bad for the beef wellington tho. The show at animators palate is by far the best both times we were there, so yea, it’s the best one easily.
Our room cleaner made a crab for our last day, kinda weak but I guess it’s a pass still.
Waiting for the final farewell party on the main lobby hall, aura farming on the 4th, waiting for the Sung Jin-woo family that will never see this, nor the light of day ever again. Perhaps that light and little island shit is a signal for his return but who knows.
A portrait of the boat we are on, not bad.
Tinkerbell drawing not bad too, although not the one we are used to.
After aura farming and camping for far too long, the main cast appears to say a few farewell and take photos one last time on this staircase.
Then comes the princesses and moana, which stands up badly because she is the only one not in a western princess dress not seen here.
Final farewell with the full cast of characters and the show crew, moana on the bottom left of this photo, kinda sad, all are in princess dresses while she is just herself, kinda bad. Either way, after this final farewell the cruise is basically done and everyone goes back to their room or just lingers and does the final night activities. Tomorrow is our dis-embarkment day and return to Vancouver, the cruise is done but not fully yet, we still have breakfast one last time at Animators palate before we go tomorrow so there’s that and day of exploration of Vancouver again so let’s see how things go then.
