This season has an unusually high amount of gay anime, so much so that when I go to the DL page on nyaa torrents all I see as the first comments is “Is this gay?” or “Gay” or “Fags” or “I’m tired of this gay shit” or some other complaints of that nature. Well looks like it’s the season of gays so far this summer, in more ways than one I suppose.

Show By Rock!! Short!! – This is a mini show of some sorts based off the anime of the same name that aired a few seasons  back based off a mobile music game by Hello Kitty company, Sanrio. I couldn’t really get into the original show because of the presence of their super deformed version of the characters, appearing like little animals and shit. But man, I must say again, the character designs for the girls are so good, very attractive and kawaii and all that jazz. I didn’t see any ugly 3d sd furry versions of the band girls so I might end up watching it for the hell of it. For what it is, good shit, really cute girls and shit of quality. Probably watch more.

Bananya – According to the show, bananas are mysterious creatures. Wut. This is a mini show about a cat. That is in a banana. Yep. Wut. Thus you get Bana-nya, Bananya. It’s a stupid little cute show about a cat in a bananas doing cute funny things. There is a pretty chill sounding narrator explaining with the cat thing is doing, kinda of similar to a nature or wildlife show. Very pastel colors and all that, so relaxing…probably end up watching this because it’s so dumb and chill. Not sure what it’s based off of, i’m saying maybe mobile game or some Hello Kitty kind of mascot.

Amaama to Inazuma – So I heard you like shows about food? So I heard you like teachers? So I heard you like single parents? So I heard you like slice of life? So I heard you like children at risk? Wait, wut? Yep, this is a show about a single parent teacher who tries his best to provide his young daughter the best meal possible because apparently eating bento box meals for 6 months puts your child “at risk”. I don’t’ see a problem with that.  Main guy is a teacher, he has a young daughter at about like kindergarten age and since it’s become so depressing and boring since his wife died, has become very worried about the happiness of his daughter, or rather, wants her to forget/hide the fact the yo, your mom is dead, she ain’t coming back. So yea, the story really begins when the teacher, lets call him Jun, cause he feels that way, and his daughter, Tsumugi go to cherry blossom viewing in the park. They see a girl sitting under a tree crying and eating some food, onigiri I think. Cue little girl running up to her and saying basically “Are you ok?” Thus a conversation happens talking about food and why she is alone, in that she was supposed to eat with her mom but she cancelled at last minute but she was crying because the food was so good. Girl’s mom owns a restaurant and tells him to maybe check it out one day. Ok, So that happened. Later on dad is late from coming home and accidentally sees his little girl fawning and drooling over a cooking show on tv, saying to herself, is tastes so good, wow, meat so juicy. Dude’s reaction is like OH MY GOD, I AM PUTTING MY CHILD AT RISK BECAUSE I CAN’T COOK SHIT. Having felt some kind of parenting fail on his part, he rushes Tsumugi to the restaurant to eat something delicious apparently. Only the girl they met at the park is there, in highschool uniform, and dumb teacher doesn’t even realize she goes to his school and that she already knows him. Girl can’t cook shit really but can cook rice, really well apparently. She does that, in a panic because her mom is still not around. The three eat said rice, and it’s good. Jun gets teary and shit because yea, rice and carbs. Then the highschool girl asks him to to cook and eat meals with her. The End. Well, this show is pretty good. It’s got good animation, a cute little girl, i’m sure a bunch of other good girls later and funny jokes. It’s kind of slice of life but there is a clear direction I suppose. The voice of Tsumugi is that of a real kid I think, similar to the the girl in Barakamon a few seasons back (just checked it, yea I’m right, same girl’s voice, fuck I’m good). Good shit, watch for sure.

Puzzle and Dragons Cross – So, we got some HARDCORE battle going down in some urban area. Black cut ins with credits, military and tank dudes doing their thing, fighting some mysterious beasts or shit; one can only assume DRAGONS RIGHT. Yea, all this to a backdrop of some song and it’s really shadowy and dark night and serious hardcore tech laser beam fire shit. Aww yea, wait what? Isn’t’ this shit a mobile game?  After the first few minutes, we get to see daylight in the town. Annnnnnndddddd it’s back to pokemon level animation quality and color palette. What the fuck lolol?! So we are introduced to some blue cool guy, with a dragon, let’s call him Jin, why? Because it’s too accurate. He’s just derping around and doing some serious whatever. Then we are introduced to ACE, or as the Japanese pronounce it ACCE-SUUU, and it’s quickly identified that this fag kid has got some good LUCK, and that he can PULL always the BEST of every-THING. I think I see where this is going with ACCEE-SUUU. So Jin and ACCEE-SUU end up meeting and do some gay stupid shit then ACCE-SUUU finds a magical egg, no doubt it’s a dragon. It has a star on it. Whatever. Some shit happens again and we are put back to the introduction with the dark color pallet and detailed dragons ruining some town. Wut. Jin is all like, yea boi I got my pokedex I summon you, blue dragon of ice whatever, fight these fire bitches. Jin fails, as usual. Then ACCE-SUU watches the Jin fail, and is all like I gotta do something cause I’m the red guy. Then his star egg changes to gold and a PULL happens. End episode. There some other business/political shit going on with a bald elf man with glasses, wtf is this design lol? It goes without saying that regardless if you play the game or not this anime is a complete joke, for kids. Bad animation, laughable concept, bad stupid kid character designs, annoying main fag kid. No redeeming quality, maybe watch the show for jokes but then you have to question why are you not playing the game instead. Shit lol.

Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu – Main dude is not a fag but apparently likes gay manga and shit. LOL ARE YOU KIDDING ME FAGGOT. SUCH DENIAL. So dude is like in a bookstore and is talking to himself and he goes around picking gay BL manga to buy and the usual self-conscious behavior one would expect if you were dude buying gay shit in a bookstore. At school talks to his friend, who is straight up gay and shit and is like, wait wut? Your not gay? Main dude is all like, naww man, I just like the stories and the excitement of BL stories. LOLOL DENIAL SUPER GAY. WOMEN. Yea, this show is pretty gay but in a jokes way that is even accessible to me. I am so open minded, oh yea, yay me. So yea, this is a mini show but for what it is it’s good. Will probably watch. Decent animation, pretty funny concept.

Taboo Tattoo – I’m not really a big fan of the name of this show but for what it is it’s not bad, although pretty bait-y. Surprisingly this is one of the better bait shows that I’ve encountered so far this season. So we got some kid, apparently in middle school (wouldn’t know it really), and he’s like good and fighting or something because his pops is a karate master or whatever. Let’s call this boy, Hiro, because that’s what he wants to be, an Hero. Show starts with Hiro saving some shady homeless man from some punks. Homeless guy is all like, thanks son, here take this glass thing, put it on your hand, for some reason it melts into Hiro’s hand and he gets a tattoo. Ok. Later on he bumps into some girl with white hair on the way to school, they stare glances and shit but nothing happens, girl notices his tattoo on his hand. Hiro has a best default win girlfriend who is as usual childhood friend, actually pretty good, big boobs and such, nice features, the show does lots of pans up and down focusing on her boobs/legs, yes I know show, I get the idea, you want me to like her, or a least push her hard before the large cast of other hot girls are introduced. Anyways shit happens and girl with white hair shows up again and steals his phone. Hiro chases her and shit to a warehouse. They fight, she obviously has power from the tattoo or shit and yea, easily overpowers him but gives him points for fighting without using his power. Apparently the tattoos are some secret American experimental weapon for super soldiers or whatever, all unique powers and such but need to use “something” in order to “trigger” the power. Girl is all like, yea, I am here to collect the ones that got out of America cause they were stolen. Guess that homeless guy was a dealer of RAD Tattoo Designs. She leaves him alone for now. Main girl with white hair is alright, no evident boobs, average but she wears a trench coat most of the time, what I find funny is that when she takes it off the clothes underneath look almost exactly the same as Chino’s clothes from Is the Order a Rabbit?! a bit like a vest and a skirt thing. OHHH YEAAA, coffee tatooes. So yea, more shit happens and Hiro ends up having to fight some bad dude with tatoo as well, unlocks his power, which is of course the “Special” most “OP” tattoo power that doesn’t require a “Trigger” to use, figures, fucking Emiya Shirou syndrome. Cue ending credits. I see a large cast of attractive girls with arch typical designs appear and yea, that’s what I’m in store for I suppose if you do watch this show. The animation and character designs for this show is not bad, pretty decent maybe even good but my main complaint is that it’s REALLY dark for what it is. Sure it’ fighting and shit but the characters do alot of humor and super deformed cut-ins to the point where it feels off since the color palette of the show is so gray/brown/black monochromatic if not even a bit over saturated. Not bad show, and was actually surprised that it wasn’t horrible. Decent concept, though bait. Watch for girls. Maybe more.

New Game! – Show about a girl who just recently finished high-school and gets a job at a game company. Within the first minute of the show starting I was already like, yep I’m watching this, it’s In. So the main girl is named Haru I think, she is short and has purple hair with twin-tails. Win. She looks like a highschool girl, but isn’t anymore but still often gets mistaken. Her clothes of choice is a business suit but it ends up still looking like a school uniform anyways, jokes. This is good. On the first day of work she meets the whole cast of characters that you might expect at a game company, being the director, manager, and the creative director, her boss; except all cute good looking girls. Her title is “Artist” and meets the rest of the character team. Haru apparently idolizes her boss since she made all the character designs for her favorite video game, I think they called it Fairies Story or something, yea. She is given a book on how to do 3d modelling and told from her boss to start learning. She doesn’t know anything about 3d. Jokes ensues but gets help from the 3 others in the art team, a shy girl who can’t talk very well but prefers instant messaging, a hype tomboy type girl and a mild gothic lolita type fashion girl, which is a bit of a lady. After the customary “take you out to lunch” on her first day, she gets to know them a bit better and the like, with mild jokes and funnies. A side story about Haru not getting her ID card and getting locked out when she goes to the bathroom happens x2 and other introductions to other management characters happen. After a busy first day the main girls walk outside to go home and ask her how her first day was, usual response but with a question, what game is everybody making now at the company, boss replies, yo we making Fairies Story 3. Oh shit, it’s the third installment of her favorite game, the reason she wanted to go into game development. The End. This is a great show. It’s basically top original anime ShiroBako of last year except with games, although i’m assuming less realism and more moe and cute girls, cause yea, demographics. While there have been many anime’s and content about making “games” they usually fall into the category of making ero-games or visual novels, this shit’s about making a real “videogames” and with “3d” graphics, oh yea, did just say that? shots fired. Excellent animation, excellent character designs, done before concept but because company is all girls, this is good. Watch for sure, one of the seasons top so far.

Cheer Danshi!! -SUPER GAY FAGS. That’s what this show is about SUPER. CHEER. FAGS. who love cheerleading and instead of doing a real sport like soccer or judo, want to create a club at their college for a MALE ONLY cheer-leading squad. LOLOLO. Where to begin with this goldmine of laughs. Now, while I understand that this season has an unusually high level of gay shows for women; this one sets it apart because it’s so jokes. So we have Taro here or whatever, he comes from a family of Judo martial artists; his sister is bad ass, she’s super pro at judo and her parents are all like, ya Taroko or whatever, you the bomb; Taro why you so shit and a pussy, can’t fight a wall with your skills. Taro is all like man, shit, I am weak, telling this to his default gay bro. His default gay bro is like the most gay ever, with the usual story of childhood friend etc etc, you were my first friend yadda yadda and ya. Taro wants to quit the Judo club because he is shit and hurt his arm, good excuse to run away; faggot. But before he tells the club supervisor, he sees his gay bro walking out first before him. Taro is like wut the, what’s going on. Supervisor tell him that gay bro quit as well. Taro goes up to I dunno what to call him; let’s call him Shinji, cause he’s that gay; and say why did you quit? Shinji is all like, well if your quitting, then I will do it too, I’m going to follow you to wherever you go, cause your my best (gay) friend, I only was in judo club cause you were in it. SO GAY. SHIT LOL. So Taro and Shinji are all like, yo wut we gonna do now? Shinji is all like, I like cheering people on, that’s why my parents did before they BOTH died, wtf. So Shinji is like, yea, let’s create a cheer squad, lets try to recruit more faggots to our crew. One dude with glasses attracts interest and joins, cause he’s closet faggot, just saying but a business student, yea, that kind of guy, student counsel type dude. Then they go watch some cheerleading performance, and they see a unisex team, with both men and girls, they impressed but they say, oh boy, it’ll be something if there was a ALL BOYS CHEER SQUAD, then some stranger and his crew, no doubt the rival GAY CHEER SQUAD snaps back at them, saying yo, CHEERING IS HARDCORE SHIT, YOU DON’T EVEN MAN. Wtf is this? Insecure cheer rival ? Whatever. Then the 3 guys go into a house and be gay together. The literal translation of this show is like “Cheer Boys”, shit man. For what this is, it’s so outlandishly unlikely and gay that you can not help but give it some points. Animation ok, gay bros are decent, fag hags incoming, maybe watch more for jokes.

Servamp – Man, another gay show. Alright basically shit goes down like this. We have this kid, his name is I dunno, Sissy because he’s a wussy. So anyways Sissy is all like yea, my mom is dead when I was a kid, my bad ass uncle brought me up or something like that. Sissy picks up this cat off the road, it’s black and shit. Keeps the cat at home in his apartment. Goes to school and talks to his friends about justice and that he’s all about “someones gotta do it” cause he’s filled with angst and ideals of false righteousness. Sissy goes home and the cat is now a lazy beautiful gay boy just doing his shit watching tv and eating snacks on the floor. Basically cat is vampire. Ok, you get where this is going. Fast forward some time a bit and Sissy and his wussy gay friends are taking, trying to show the cat is a dude when they get attacked by some magican vampire, yea weird. Some shit happen, friend gets bitten and the cat vampire ends up forming a contract with Sissy, you know how it goes, yea, and fighting and winning happen. The End. For what it is, it’s pretty good, i am sure it will attract a lot of female fans for this show because the character design of the main cat vampire is pretty good and i’m sure the other gay boys will have good designs too. Sad to say that even in this anime, the limiting factor is the main fag guy, he’s just so undesirable and forgettable, causing much harm to the show. Whatever, not for me but good for what it is, congratulations you win women.

Masou Gakuen HxH – In it’s simplest form, this is a tits and ass super ero fan service show filled with beautiful big boob girls that transform and need to get aroused in order to get more power/energy in order to fight some unknown monster/alien mechs that have ruined and taken over the world. Yes, that kind of show. There’s not much point summarizing the plot or story, my opening sentence is more than enough to get an good idea of what to expect. The girls are fairly attractive and as mentioned have pretty big boobs, the opening sequence is basically the main dude basically groping one of the girls and moans happen in some kind of faux sex scene, but you can obviously imagine it. There is a tsundere black haired girl (samurai theme with sword), a blonde  ojosama super big boob girl (of course) and a few others but the main is the white haired girl. She is pretty standard kuu-dere/mild-tsun-justice type and uses guns I think. First encounter with main white hair girl is like she meets the main dude, then some shit happens and she transforms into her mecha/half naked armored gear and flies around blowing shit up. She gets owned, she crashes, dude goes and helps her. She unconscious. Main dude’s sister is like a commander or something and calls him, tells him to basically feel her up and grope her. What ensues next is a few minutes of some of the most creative, strange and awkward censoring I have ever seen trying to prevent nipples, ass and crotches from being shown up close. Sister tells him to fondle her boobs, what i see is a still frame of hands touching some boobs, which is then overlaid ontop of the actual animated scene, with the borders of the frame some crazy mecha design, what the fuck? It goes without saying the white hair girl gets aroused and powered up, wakes up, kills all the robot enemies in the sky. The End. This show. I am sure the groping and boob nipple action on this show is superb, to bad the censoring ruins it completely. I might dl the first episode again if an uncensored version shows up to see the goods. While the girls are good, they are not amazing and to be honest, could have more detail on their hair and faces, but I suppose considering the nature of the show, more resources were spent on bodies. I am OK with that. Maybe watch more, in private.

Scared Rider Xechs – Gay. Power rangers wannabe. Main dude is red ranger, plays guitar, has issues with responsibility. Everyone else looks like shit and are dumb. They fighting something, dunno. Sakamoto look alike and Lieutenant Yuuki look alikes in this show. Some girl shows up in a field, talks to red ranger, whatever, she looks like shit. The rangers have something like stands, not sure, I think they turn into their suit, can also be motorcycle maybe? Whatever, shit ugly monsters attack, rangers answer the call. Red nowhere to be seen, comes later to save the day cause you know, he’s SCA-RED and all. Bad. Pretty horrible concept, ugly guys, ugly mech power ranger suits, horrible helmets, bad slow flow. Just bad, not even women will watch this shit. Watch CHEER BOYS or MONSTERS whatever instead.
