It’s good to have easy boats. After all the hard work and stupidity of the past spring kancolle event, I welcome the shortened and much easier boat event. Although they still had the newly implemented land airbase system it wasn’t so bad because of the tweaked mechanics and the fact that all of the maps could be cleared without stupid rng airstrikes like in the summer event. While only 4 maps total, I greatly enjoyed this event much more than the former offer, considering that I only really spent about a solid week trying to clear everything and basically got all the new boats. Yea, easy mode for all except e2 I think but whatever, rewards are shit. I actually ended up with a lot of new boats so I had to expand my max storage again, shit. Ahwell, here’s the top new waifus that I got.
9. Yuugumo
Finally got the nameship of the Yuugumo class of destroyers. I’ve said it before but I don’t like their design, and there is just way to many of them. Ahwell, at least she has green hair, something that is somewhat rare in this game and she a mole on her face which helps a bit.
8. Hayashimo
Shit another one of these Gumos. All I can say is “why so serious?” in regards to Hayashimo’s face. Shit this design. Not even a good hair cover eye character design, Hamakaze is probably one of the best that does this, not to mention she has big boobs. Ah well, maybe used for some quest chain or something? Dunno.
7. Kazagumo
Shit can’t believe I got 3 Gumos this event. I know that technically you can get some of these from regular maps but yea, whatever. Kazagumo isn’t much better than the other two that I mentioned in terms of design, face isn’t doing much for me either. Whatever, quest chain requirement perhaps.
6. Agano
I think Agano was an event reward quite some time ago, maybe a year or even two years ago? Not sure, to lazy to check again. In any regards, it’s always good to see more light cruisers, considering the horde of destroyers there are in this game. Her design is a simple sailor outfit but it works well, it kind of reminds me of Isuzu in terms of color. It’s also cool to see that she has these joystick kind of things to grab onto her turrets, since most boats either just seem to have them move on their own or are held by straps around their hands. Her one leg stocking/flight-deck thing looks kind of strange but I’m sure there is some historical story behind this like most boats are, kinda reminds me a bit of Yamato legs. Nice decently sized boobs. Nice cheerful smile. Nice gloves. Will probably level her up eventually.
5. Hatsukaze
Hatsukaze is apparently one of the most rare non-event Kagerou class destroyers in the game from what I read on the wiki. Not exactly sure what map I got her on this event but yea, she’s ok. Her design is typical of the numerous other Kagerou destroyers which is to say a bit boring, but hey, she’s got blue hair so that’s something. She’s also got some nice gloves, if you know what I’m talking about. Yea, your probably never going to be leveled but whatever, gloves.
4. Minazuki
Hmm, first new event boat this time is the Mutsuki class destroyer, Minazuki. Gotten from E2 clear reward, it’s safe to say that most people don’t give a shit about her now, at least until she gets a kai2 upgrade like her featured animu sister ships Mutsuki and Kisaragi (RIP) where they get a sweater and shit. Well, she wears shorts, so that’s different, looks pretty happy I guess and has blue hair. Ok I guess. If you look closely she has the whole flesh tooth/fang thing going on which has become popular in anime and manga girls lately which is nice. We’ll see what happens when your upgrades come. Will probably level up when kai2 comes, if not, never.
3. I-26
Subs are pretty rare in Kancolle, even a bit more rare I think is another Japanese sub again even after going the whole german loli boat route. Hmm. Looks pretty good I say. Gotten from various maps within the event, I got her on one of my runs of E4. I was actually going to go back to E1 once I cleared everything but since she dropped for me E4, whatever, maybe should have cleared that shit on hard or something. Calling herself “Nimu” is nice and she has the classic blue school swimsuit which I like. She’s got decently sized boobs and an interesting hairstyle and happy expression. Nice legs too. They don’t usually give subs to much shit or accessories but Nimu has got what I think are the front and back of the sub on her and a nice jacket, the first for a sub I think. I approve. She is being leveled, although honestly I don’t even really use subs at all other than for tanking for pvp training.
2. Aquila
Alright, the first Italian carrier Aquila looks pretty darn good. Designed by the same artist that did all of the Italian boats so far, she has a very similar face to battleship Italia/Litorria not sure if there is some historical relevancy to this but maybe, I don’t mind. Gotten from E3 and E4 boss node drops, I was lucky enough to get her on one of my E4 boss node runs, similarly to how I got Nimu. I literally didn’t’ do any farming at all for this event which is to say is refreshing to say the least. Sporting the whole thigh-highs and garter-belt straps leg things, looks pretty sexy I’d say. Has fairly big boobs and her dress resembles something a flight attendant would wear, an Italian flight attendant mind you, yea, shit’s real. Her ship parts look pretty good and I can kinda tell that she’s supposed to be a carrier with planes and shit since she’s holding a bow and has the flight deck thing in sight. Yea, pretty solid. One of the better Italian boat designs, not as good as Pola or Libeccio, but certainly up there. Will level for sure.
1. Warspite
And here we are, the prize for our troubles, hailing from the British Royal Navy, the Queen Elizabeth Class Battleship, Warspite. I was personally a bit surprised that they decided to put this British battleship in the game when only just last event they made a big deal about Iowa and the coming of allied boats to Kancolle. I’m sure there was a good reason, maybe to try and prove that they can make an english speaking boat, well, speak good English. After the questionable/horribad English speaking competency of Iowa’s voice actor, Warspite’s voice actor is amazingly good at English, I think to almost if not native speaking level. Many people have speculated about her voice actor but the top candidate seems to be Sarah Emi Bridcut, an half Australian-Japanese voice actor that has voiced a number of boats already, such as Hatsukaze, Suzuya, Kumano and a few others. While the verdict is still pending on who this voice actor is, Warspite’s design herself is pretty much the very embodiment of British naval power and nobility. Sporting sexy thigh-highs with straps and a very nice lady-like dress and what can only be seen as a holy hand grenade, crown, jeweled-necklace and a scepter, she definitely is dressed the part to be a queen. Fucking lord Shizuma Yoshinori strikes again. Her ship parts and her pose, literally sitting on her throne further enforce the quite evident imagery of royalty. Saber can only wish that her design was this royal looking. Shit. While nowhere as big a Iowa, Warspite seems to have a decently sized bust as well which is typical of all battleships in general. Fan favorite to be paired with Iowa and Kongo forming the deadly speaking English trio for comedic value I’m sure she already has a decent fan-base. While I am not as impressed as to when Iowa was released, I welcome more boats from the Allies. Congratulations Brexit Warspite, you are the Top Boat Waifu of Summer Event 2016.
