The last batch of this Summer’s shows and there is finally some good shit that I like. Just to much time for sentimental bullshit and copy cat concept shit.

Centaur no Nayami – So it’s like this; this is a decent slice of life show (FUCK FINALLY) with a major spin being that all of the characters are kinda demi-humans in a school setting. Yea, I knoe rite? So in this world something happened differently during the course of human evolution and “humans” ended up evolving into several different groups of people, think races like black, white, asian, brown but the differences being much more pronounced, like they have “angel”, “demon”, “cat”, “mermaid”, “rabbit” and of course “Centaur” people stemming from the “Human” branch.  All technically considered “Human” so ye, that’s different. It’s kinda funny how in the show they mention when they were explaining this that if “Humans” weren’t divided as such and the races being so different that there would be no racism and discrimination since the only thing primarily different then with humans is skin color, HAHAHAHAHAHHA. NOPE. But anyways the main character of this show is Centaur girl and her friends living the life of weird monster demi-human things in everyday life and dealing with racism of their history and such. Like how Centaurs were ridden by other human folk as warriors but these day’s it’s considered discrimination to do so and etc. It’s all equatable and such for the modern times I suppose. Pretty chill show with mild slice and funnies. The character are ok, with the only big weird thing being main Centaur girl, ye, she’s kind and all but shit, she’s a horse. Not bad, decent design and concept, maybe watch more.

Jikan no Shihaisha – Some baity ass show that primarily caters to women. So we are TIME LORDS or something right, we gotta protect the TIME since we are all dead. Show starts off with some battle between some dude with glasses with sword and a blobby monster. Fight is inconclusive and ends up involving some random schoolgirl in the street. So girl is like gets involved with the problem cause she is super sad and misses her dead brother or something. Some stupid shit happens and then the sword guy comes around with this bro and is all like, hey, did you know, at midnight at this clocktown thing if you wish to go back in time you can do it. So ye, the two boys fight because of talking shit, go away. Of course the girl goes at midnight and wishes to go back in time. Some shit happen and the boys show up, do a usual, TOLD YOU SO and explain that it’s a lie, you can’t go back in time but doing a wish or something makes these TIME EATERS or whatever come and steal time from humans, making them younger but killing them aswell over time. So girl is all like ah mah gawd and sad, the boys fight the monster and be gay. The battle is over. The two boys say some shit about everytime they fight or whatever they lose “Time” when they use their powers or whatever. THE END the other boy is the other boy’s father but he doesn’t remember cause time and memory loss. Yea, this show is not for me, kinda tries to be everything with comedy and action and gay. The snow falling is nice in this episode but it’s too dark for what they are going for. Nah.

Tenshi no 3P! – So it’s like this; we got a boy he is as per usual a shut in hikkomori, but not as bad as others since he goes outside and can talk to people, he’s just a lazy bitch for not wanting to go to school I guess.. However, he does have a talent, dude produces music in his room and uploads youtube videos and such of his compositions and shit cause pride. It’s his only thing which keeps him living. One day boy gets a message in his email asking him if he was the one who posted a song or some shit, boy gets nervous because the email sounds so formal and mature, as if written by a businessman and such. After praise, the writer of the letter tells boy that he would like to meet up in person. Boy gets nervous but hesitantly accepts, wanting more praise. So he goes and waits in the park as agreed expecting an old business man to show up but of course it’s not, it’s a shy elementary school girl which sounds nothing like the email, she gets ambushed and 2 of her other friends show up and they are like, sup, you the guy? Boy is getting scared now because of whats going on, could get arrested by police due to the situation but the girls convince him otherwise that they need his help, lead him to their home, an church-like orphanage and bring him to the BASEMENT. SHIT. Anyways in the basement is full of expensive classic guitars and audio equipment, the 3 put on a show and play pro band music. Boy is all like wow, girls say they like his music and composition, want him to help them get famous and hold a concert at their orphanage or something. Guy is like, er, I dunno but one of the girls is all like, for a reward, I’ll let you touch me. Boy is like, oh shit noooooooo I don’t wanna like teh lolis.Wow. The End. The concept of the show is somewhat unique but not that special. The girls are cute as expected and serve their purpose and their designs are ok. Maybe watch more, we’ll see. Once again the problem is not the girls or concept, but the main guy, his fag level is fairly high in this one so I dunno if it can offset k-on loli edition.

New Game!! – Best show of 2016 returns and it kinda picks up after some time has passed since Aoba’s first game with the company was released. This episode is kinda like a re-introduction to the characters and shit with reflection elements and of course more comedy and cute moe slice of life tidbits. Aoba is all like, oh yea, it’s been 1 year since I joined this company, can’t want to be a senpai with other new recruits to the company but then boss tells her that there’s no new recruits this year, gets sad lolololol.  They do more funny things like brainstorm for the idea of their next game with all of the characters having and giving their input. Test QA part-timer friend of Aoba is trying to be a programmer and will eventually be part of the company I guess. Good shit. Excellent start to last year’s best show, looking forward to more. Excellent premise, character designs, pacing, tone and slice of life comedy with lots of gay yuri implied. Yea boi. A+

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni – This is a horrible show. Don’t watch it. It is literally Konasuba except remove all the funny, good girls and replace with an even more stupider bland main character with no soul or personality and a bunch of generic girls as his loyal followers. Fuck. Gotta go in-depth now, so it’s like this: Boy is dead by thunderbolt accident, god is all like fuck man I screwed up, how bout I make it up to you, I will put you back in a different world, boy is like ok, let’s do this. God is like, so do you want any other perks and shit, instead of requesting a magical water goddess ho, he says like a faggot “I just want my Iphone 7S 32gib WiFi Limited edition with unlimited data smartphone in the next world” or something like that. God is all like, are you sure? Seriously? I can make it connect to the other world and information and such but you won’t be able to communicate with the old world, just read only mode. Boy is like, oh boy, hell yes and off he goes into another fantasy world to do the ropes of magic and shit. Boy does the usual, finds a couple of base girls he saves, helps him learn magic and questing, apparently the boy was gifted with SUPER OP powers from god and can use all magic which is unheard of, prodigy. GG. Some shit happens and the end, he gets more fantasy shit waifus. This show is shit. It’s Konosuba but remove the funny, it takes itself kinda seriously and that’s a problem, the girls are shit, guy is horrible and concept is retarded. Bad. Don’t watch.

Nora to Oujo no Noraneko Heart – Some crack ass mini show about some Nora, Neok and some Heart. I dunno what this shit is about but the girls are cute but the animation is like a slide show.  I suppose you can say that this is a comedy slice of life featuring like 4 girls and shit but ya, It just feels a bit odd and everywhere. Probably a 4-koma originally. I think story is something like 4 girls are witches in school but accidentally turned the boy they liked/knew into a cat and the cat now lives with them since boycat wants to become human again to try and break the spell or somethign? Yea, it’s bullshit but what do you expect, a mini show. Maybe watch more, maybe nope, yea.

Ikemen Sengoku – 3d chibi prince of gay meets token ranbu for women mini show.  Yea, it’s shit. Bad 3d, bad concept and bad production. The idea is so for women i don’t know how they failed this. Like all the guys are supposed to be pretty boys but all I get is super deformed 3d pieces of shit, yea, that’s what why. Not fro me, shit it up fuck yeaatt boi.

Clione no Akari – What the fuck is this show’s problem, it’s a mini show but because it’s so shit if feels so long, just, so long. So we got a girl in class, she is getting bullied and the usual. 2 other students want to help, boy and a girl but fail because they are pussies and do nothing. They strive to be the picked on girls friend so that they can make things right. Fuck. Why. Show is ugly and horrible character designs, overly sentimental tone and whatever. Bad, so many other shit is like this I don’t even understand why anyone would bother with this shit.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e – So this is a kinda interesting show about a special government funded school that has 100% graduation and future job employment rate. The story starts off with some boy personally reflecting upon his life and society and how everyone is ruined and such, how the way the world works is bullshit and that equality is a lie and how people are not equal and kings and peasants exists etc the usual. He is of course starting his first day of school riding the bus to the special academy when some old women gets on and one of the future students asks anybody on the bus would like to give up their seat to the old women. Of course nobody budges and the proactive students suggests to a healthy young man going to the same school to give it up, then the sitting young guy gives some crazy pretentious speech about how he is not obliged to give anything and soundings really rich boy privileged and does give in. In the end some business women gave the old women the seat and that was it, with the main dude just having his own inner comments and thoughts on the matter. School starts and one of the girls on the bus confronts main boy saying why were you looking at me and such, boy is like, well, I was wondering if you were going to give the seat, girl is also oh whatever, don’t look at me anymore. Whatever, cool. So shit continues and you briefly get intoduced to the classroom of characters of main dude; girl on the bus is also in his class. Some dude suggsts to introduce themselves while they wait for teacher and such continues, main boy judging everyone with indifference and then it comes to him, and he says some generic bullshit, don’t give a shit. Yea, whatever, then teacher comes in, says welcome and explains the rules of the school, being that there is no money at the school and that you are given 100,000 points a month connected to your phone which act as currency for all things like meals, food, whatever. Kids go crazy and all like, oh wow this is the shit. Time passes and people get lazy and spend all their points, start to not listen in class and just dont’t show up. One day boy sees the bus girl at the store and says hey, why are you buying all cheap shit, you can get better stuff and girl is like, leave me alone, ok whatever. Next month comes and students are all like, hay how come we got no points added to your accounts, teacher is like, because you got none, you guys were bitches all month and I graded you already, you all fail so you get no points. Have Fun surviving with no points motherfuckers fffffukkkkkk says the students. The bus girl knew what what up, and main dude didnt’ spend much so he still has alot of points but other people are ruined, have 0. No food and shit. wow. This show is not bad, pretty interesting concept and the tone is kinda drama-ish. The bus girl is very attractive design, cool-dere cold with long black-ish hair and nice eyes, actually all of the girls look nice. Even the bitch guy is not that bad, he’s just indifferent and doesn’t give a shit, kinda like takumi from initial d in the beginning. It’d be interesting to see how this show pans out and the drama and or stories that unfold from it. Will probably watch more to see how it goes, we’ll see.

Hajimete no Gal – The concept of this show is good but it’s main problem is that each scene drags on wayyyyy to long and it becomes tedious and boring, despite it’s best efforts. The premise of this show is simple fag boy one and his group of friends are sad because they can’t get girlfriends when everyone in their class apparently has one for some reason. So being in second year these boys are all like, fuck it, girls are bitches and so on etc continuing on in their own self pity and despise. One day one of the boys in the group dares the main boy to confess and ask one of the popular Gal girls out. For some reason, our man fag boy agrees and sets up the whole thing. So it’s after school and he’s there with the Gal girl feeling pretty weak and shit as usual and ends up bowing to the ground to beg her. Of course gal girl laughs at him but is all like, so, what is it exactly do you like about me and why do you want me to be your girlfriend? Then fag guy says the first thing that comes to his mind which is of course, your body and sex. Gal girl laughs it up more, just as expected. Fag boy is feeling horrible now but just as he’s about to leave, gal girl is like, you know what, I like you, your funny so sure, why not, let’s go out. Fag can’t believe it and ye, end of the episode. The concept is good but damn the pacing is so slow, 15 minutes of the show was fag boy and his friends bathing themselves in self pity and the other 15 or so minutes WAS HIM CONFESSING. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. The jokes and reactions weren’t even that funny. Shit. Maybe i’ll watch more to give this a second try for ep2 but if the entire show is like this, hell no. The designs of the gal girl and her friends aren’t even that great.

Gamers! – This should be a good show which was totally not on my radar untill now. So it’s like this, we have a boy, let’s just call him Ky, because it’s relevant and he loves to play games, to be specific, he loves to play mobile games, quite literally brave frontier and or something that looks very similar if not, actually is grand blue fantasy. Show starts off with him in a game store picking up his PS4 games off the shelves and admiring how cute the girls are in one of the dating sims, called “Golden Memories” which exclusively feature blonde girls lololol. Then all of a sudden a blonde girl in his class shows up and is like, sup, what your looking at. Of course the usual reactions of youth ensues with him hiding his loot but the girl is all like, yea that’s cool, so you like games right? How bout you come and visit the game club, I want you to join. So some day later or so he meets up with blonde girl and they go into the games club where they meet 2 other club members, one being a hardcore FPS gamer and the other being a girl who is playing GUILTY GEAR XRD REV.2 on the tv with a fight stick. FUCK YEA. ARC SYSTEM WORKS OFFICIAL SPONSOR. Anyways hijinks ensues with the FPS guy having them all play fps games with the group, but Ky is super bad at it, horrible and FPS guy rages at how shitty he is. Blonde girl is all like, sure we play other games too, more random video gaming ensues. At the end of the day, blonde girl is like, so what do you think do you want to join the club? Ky is like, wow this is my chance to change my life and make friends but does a huge NOPE and declines because nobody plays the games that he likes to play and leaves. lololololol mobile casual hardcore grindfest faggot. The blonde girl tries again to extend a hand of friendship but is once again denied as raid button help takes priority. LOLOLOLOOL. Yea, i’m watching this show. The concept was funny and meta enough for me to like it regardless but the fact that OFFICIAL Sponsorship from Guilty Gear guys means I HAVE TO WATCH IT. LLOLOL. Decent designs, good concept, pacing and tone. Funny shit, good shti.

Jigoku Shoujo – Yoi no Togi – I remember watching the first 2 seasons of Hell Girl many many years ago, maybe during my university days maybe, maybe even before that but yea, it kinda dropped off my radar when the third season hit like 5 years ago or something, which I never even bothered to watch. I had thought that there was no more story to be told from this franchise but apparently I am wrong, shit’s still going I think. Well it doesn’t matter if I miss a season, the basic episodic formula of see people in their lives do shit, hate each other and then call Hell girl to send them hell  out of rage/vengeance is pretty much the same. This first episodes does a classic topic of school bullying and the results are expected, justice is served to the bully but what is the right answer? Up to the viewer I suppose. The core concept is pretty much the OG of several seasons ago’s Death Parade but the tone much blacker and dark from that show, much more negative with many grays which is fine. It’s been awhile so I’ll probably watch this show and show where it goes. True to the original designs and style, maybe even the same voice actors too, it’s been a long time, maybe like over 10-15 years so yea, good shit.

EDIT: Kakegurui – So I somehow missed this show even though it was one of the first that aired this season, probably due to the fact that horriblesubs isn’t covering it for some unknown reason. But in any case first few minutes in this show and I was like, YEAP gonna watch this shit, this is a excellent show. So we are introduced to fool boy 1, he is in the middle of some game at school gambling and totally gets owned by some rich blonde girl with the repercussions being that he is literally her “doggy” or slave per say, then we see him explain the premise of this rich school as that it’s all about games and gambling and that the entire hierarchy and culture is determined by it and if you win big or lose. Fool boy 1’s failure is illustrated by him knelling down and acting as the blonde girls foot stool. Shit. So anyways as usual the social hierarchy of this gambling school is disrupted by a long black haired girl transfer student. She is kind and cheerful at her greetings and fool boy 1 is tasked to show her around. Fool boy one speaks to her to warn her about how this school works and to not get into deep with the gambles, but no sooner than they get back to class blonde girl challenges her to a game of modified rock paper scissors using cards some some convoluted voting system which determines how each player gets cards. Lest to say that the show shows it’s true colors with the girls putting one their GAME FACE which is very similar to the kinds of faces I would see in Prison School or even death note, HARDCORE REALISTIC DETAILED FACES IN EXTREME DESPAIR/PLEASURE/ANGER OH SHIT FUCK. So many faces of “I HAVE YOU NOW BITCH” so anyways the card game plays out as expected with girls ending up betting huge amounts of money, in the millions of yen with the black haired girl loosing the majority of the time but of course she has the last laugh and figures out how the game was fixed and how the blonde girl was cheating all along, even still with that, black haired girl still owned her and won an enormous amount of money which she just said, never mind I had a fun time so I don’t need your money. Shit. Super pro bitch please. Fool boy 1 then speaks to black haired girl for recap of how she won and etc with fool boy 1 consigning that he is totally shit. Black haired girl walks off and is happy. End episode. So yea, I’ll be watching this show, this what what was missing in many ways from this season, an excellent OH SHIT moment show with pretty decent/good looking girls. I’m pretty sure the black haired girl is the main character and fool boy 1 is just a follower and narrator of her antics like JoJo’s SPEEDWAGON. This show is what you get if you combine Prison School and Kaiji/Akagi; not so much Saki but either way gambling badassery. The designs of the girls are pretty decent and the line quality and animation are good. Concept is done before but the execution is spot on point. Those FACES SHITTTTT. You know a show is serious business if they DRAW LIPS. YOU KNOW WHATS UP. SHIT. Excellent show, will watch more.

Well then, I think that about does it for this Summer season of anime. Man, I was getting kinda worried in the middle there with all the shitty sentimental shows but thankfully all of the GOOD SHIT finally made it’s appearance later in the month. It’s funny, there is like literally no real mech no, no pure pure full slice of life take it easy comedy fun show other than New Game! and even then it’s not pure a show about nothing. Heh, ahwell, there’s enough good shit to keep me entertained so that’s all that matters.
