This post should wrap up the end of this fall season, lots of good shit here and spread across different genres, but mainly slice of life comedy aww yeaaaa.

Houseki no Kuni – What the fuck is this show about? First of all it’s a full 3d show which, while horrible by default, I have watched 3d shows in the past and I was able to get over that hurdle with due course time. This however is just plain confusing and incoherent and fuck, I have no idea what’s going on. Actually, it’s more like I do know what’s going on but it’s so ugly and stupid that I can’t believe the initial pitch/source material for this got this pass to be made into an actual show. So it’s like this, in some crazy ass empty world or whatever there are a bunch of girls, these girls are special, they are MADE of gemstones, like on a god like level and just just a metaphorical sense, they are shiny bling bling ruby, emeralds and other rare rocks. There is like one dude that is also made of gems and he’s like pro but I have no idea so yea, bunch of girls like gods made of gems doing some shit and using their powers in a empty world filled with fields and water. They fight or defend against some monsters or some demon shit but remember they are still gems, so when they get hurt they crack, get their arms and limbs destroyed but yea, it’s ok, they can get repaired and their white spin painted back on them. Wut? So anyways some shit happens main gem girl is green, has green hair, does some shit, is super weak, meets red haired stone girl, is kinda of strong but toxic they go on journey or whatever? Yea. This show is full of shit, makes no sense and it’s premise is stupid, the designs are horrible, everyone just wears like slight variations black suits with short arms and legs. Bad. Shit. Not as bad as Dynamic Chord however.

Two Car – From what I gather this is an original show and for that I give it top points but the problem with most original anime such as this one is that they put either too much or too little in it’s first episode in order to try and attract viewers and or game them to tune in to the next episode. This episode had quite a lot of shit in it, so it’s like this, there is 2 girls, they are a team of racers on a small island that do races riding some made up motorcycle with a sidecar for 2, thing is that it’s not really a sidecar, more like a glorified platform where rider 2 gets to lie down on their belly and help the driver “turn” corners using their weight and such. Cool cool, after many flashbacks of the two girls reminding themselves of how they meet and the racer club, it becomes obviously apparent that they both love their senpai coach which taught them everything; should be noted that throughout these flashbacks you never see the man’s face. Back and forth through these flashbacks we see the girls lining up to race in the present time along with many other pairs of racers and their own bikes, going through the usual introductions and trying to cover the most typical archetypes of anime girl pairings. The race begins and our main crew is behind at the start, throughout the race the flashback continues with senpai coach basically telling them he is going to leave and go to england because he wants to get better and has taught the girls everything he already knows, both girls do their best to confess but catch on to one another and fail, kinda having this bitter feeling how that they couldn’t confess to senpai because of each other since they both love the same man. Anyways shit happens in the race and the main pair ends up wining, after they get out and take off their helmets they punch each other in a classic cross counter fashion, I suppose to show the ongoing love hate relationship they both have because of dead senpai gone and the fact that they are still partners. The End. Well then, that was just a bit too much shit. The designs of the girls are actually pretty good, they are all pretty unique and cute, good animation and such but it’s always difficult to get into a racing/sports anime where the sport doesn’t really exist. For me this is the case, the made up sport is just a little too much stupid for me, it’s just so dangerous and over the top. However, if they were using CARS on the other hand, like real life cars, then that fucking changes everything, this would be on my for sure watch list. But no, it’s not initial d with cute girls, and that’s where it’s a lost opportunity. Highly unlikely to watch more despite it’s strong pull of cute girls, but you never know.

Blend S – This is an excellent wonderful slice of life comedy moe show, probably the best one this season, the one that you will be seeing gifs and memes about for at least the duration of this season and maybe years to come. So main girl comes from a traditional household, she it trying to get a part-time job in her spare time as a highschool student but hasn’t gotten any offer yet because of her “mean” face that she naturally makes. Ok cool cool, anyways on her way to another job interview she bumps into a white foreigner guy and they both naturally apologize and continue on their day. After a super ace introduction sequence, we see main girl sad depressed again coming out from another failed job interview, on her way back she sees a cafe with a nice and shiny glass windows and tries to practice smiling as once again she attributes her failure to her mean face. Of course the people in the store notice her and are all wtf, then the white foreigner guy comes out and does a standard, oh wut it’s you kind of thing. So the white guy is Italian and owns this cafe, it’s a maid cafe with a special twist where all the maids have personalities according to typical anime archetypes like tsundere, cute-imouto sister etc. The owner thinks main girl is cute and that she’ll be perfect for the job at working at the cafe. Main girl is super happy and cheerful at this offer but then asks what she has to do, or rather what character she is going to be assigned to play, to her great dismay and shock, she is supposed to play the “Sadist” because of that mean face she has. lololololol so jokes. Main girl is normally happy and cheerful but she has to play a bitch character oh man, the funnies. At the first episode there is only 2 other girls, blonde twin-tailed hair girl with big boobs who plays the tsundere character (of course) but is normally straight headed cheerful and is a hardcore gamer otaku and a short brown haired girl that plays the loli cheerful little sister character but is actually the oldest and a jaded college student that doesn’t give a shit but likes anime and collecting plushies and figures. The remaining 2 girls have not been introduced yet but from the opening sequence they are supposed to be “onnesan” and “idol” which round out the cast nicely I guess. I am seeing a good trend here. This show manages to somehow combine all that is good with recent slice of life shows such as Is the Order a Rabbit?, Hinako Note, Working! Kin-iro Mosaic and a dash of maybe even anime/otaku club shows all in one. FUCK THIS SHOW IS GOOD. All the girls are very attractive and well designed pretty, the animation is spot on smooth and crisp lines, the premise is hilarious and the pacing and story is the groundwork for an endless amount of gags and materials, voice acting is excellent. Verified GOOD SHIT. Watch for sure.

Animegataris – So this is another anime club show and that’s alright. Last season I really wanted to like a show, called Gamers! which had official sponsorship by arc system works, the creators of guilty gear and blazblue. I foolishly thought that it was well, going to be about a games club. Oh by was I wrong, shit was a romance comedy in disguise that had little or no gaming elements at all. Fuckkkk I had to drop it couldn’t stand it. This show however seems to be on the right track, since well, the focus is on an anime club. Main girl is pink hair and is kinda dumb, typical school life whatever. Introduce to school rich girl who is of course blonde and has all the baggage of being a rich girl with a limo and butler following her around. Some shit happens and main pink girl has to talk to rich blonde girl in private. Pink girl has a memory or dream about watching some anime as a kid but can’t remember, I can’t remember why she needed to ask blonde girl I think because she mentioned that she liked anime and try to get close to her for friends maybe? Whatever. The result is expected and after getting asked “Do you like anime?” from the pink girl the blonde girl gets super excited and hype about talking about anime because she is big anime watcher and etc. Pink girl is all like, wut da fuK? I don’t know anything, I just wanted to start conversion with you rich girl. Blonde rich girl is disappointed and goes on all like, forget about what I just said but pink girl persists that she wants to learn more about anime. Some other shit happens and her and blonde girl want to start up an anime club again, as usual need to get club members and etc. Yea, this show is alright, better than average and the character designs are decent. Maybe watch more if I have time but because Gamers! was such a failure I feel that I want to make up for it with this club anime. At least there’s no fag main guy, that’s already half the battle.

Imouto sae Ireba Ii. – Can’t remember what this show translates into but the main guy has a thing for little sisters and the opening of this show is a mock anime representation of his story proposal that is all about his cute big boob fictional idealized imouto. You see, main fag man is a light novel author (Fuck again?) and ends up putting little sister’s in all of his work because he loves it. The opening headfake is pretty horrendous as it should be but it’s kinda sad how even their parody mock anime in terms of quality is actually better than some real shows, mainly Chinese bullshit but that’s besides the case. Anways, once his editor lectures the boy on what the fuck is your problem syndrome and rejects his idea he goes back to his apartment and calls over some friends for some dinner hotpot or whatever. His little brother comes in and totally looks like a girl but is not (gay) totally acting as his ideal imouto. Some other writer friends come in, one guy and 2 other girls, one I assume is maybe childhood friend and another girl who is his “biggest fan” of his works but is also an amazingly good author as well which the episode later tells. They sit down eat and play some games which involve creating and solving story problems and or word puns or whatever, it’s pretty in-depth in word play so yea i don’t know. Dude has some board games on a big cabinet, which apparently are all real board games, heh interesting. They do more shit and the day is over with reflections focusing on the biggest fan girl and main dude. This show is ok but it’s still to early to tell if it’s good enough for me to watch. The concept is still up in the air and the direction I am unsure, it could be about anything since this bitch writer is a bitch. Dunno, char designs are decent but honestly forgetable and the quality of the animation/lines kinda muddy lazy. Dunno, we’ll see.

Himouto! Umaru-chan R – Awww yeaaaa, return of another great show. Looks like this is just kinda picking right up with events revolving around Umaru’s blue haired girl Sylphyn and other fun stuff. First quarter of the episode is mild recap of the characters introduced so far and with the rest focusing on battles between Sylphyn and Umaru. Good excellent slice of life, comedy, moe stuff. Great character designs, good animation, excellent opening and ending sequence, bang on voice acting and pacing; just an all round great continuation of a fun show with cute girls and solid jokes. Nothing else much more to say about that, watch for sure.

Evil or Live – Chinese bullshit. So we have Tenecent logo appear pretty early this time, I know what to expect. So in this chink world too many fob kids have been playing video games and using the internet and have been just overall bitches, this has lead the (chinese) government to crack down on bitch children and create prison camp/schools where they are reformed to become excellent good (communist) citizens. Sure sure cool cool. So we are presented with a collection of undesirable youth children in various degrees of bitch such as disrespecting their parents and elders, you know, didn’t come to dinner when told, get bitch slapped, sent to prison school for reformation, nothing out of the norm. Kids get introduced into the school, can’t believe what’s happening to them, gets beat up by school teacher enforcers, got told again, be quiet. One forgettable boy comes into focus which I assume is the main guy and does usual stupid shit, gets the attention of a purple haired dude and some gay shit happens, something along the lines of if you serve me then you will be protected in this place or something, ya ya sure sure. Some more shit happens but whatever, shit. The concept of this show is “decent”, by decent I mean by chinese standards, and by that I mean still horribly bad in comparison to the average Japanese produced anime. Like shit, this show is done in the same aspect ratio of movies, meaning on my tv there is bars at the top and bottom of the screen, I don’t think that was done for aesthetic purposes, it was done because they are retarded. Like sure they call this anime but many times they straight up say fuck it, I’m going to put LIVE ACTION video of real people and the world, like cities and shit to convey the world because it’s so much cheaper and easier to do than running a few video filters or even tracing/rotoscoping it in. Nope, Chinese style with chinese budgets, don’t got time to render a fake 3d fps, might as well just show call of duty mod instead, good enough. The tone of the show just feels so Chinese, even in the opening introduction where some Communist manifesto song is being played, I know it’s supposed to be against this mindset but I can’t but help but feel that someshow this is just bullshit Chinese reverse propaganda material, like, watch these bad kids, don’t be like them or you’ll be dead, for real (sponsored by the communist part of china). Horrible.

Onyankopon – A 3 minute mini show that is 3d that is about some animals or whatever but is really just a platform for singing songs and promoting some new idol group. Bad, the ending sequence the real girls of the idol group are shown. Sorry, they are all ugly except maybe the one with glasses whatever. Shit garbage, shit songs.

Inuyashiki – This may be a surprise hit show for me if they keep up the pace and themes as they did with the first episode. We are presented and shown an old man, he and his family are moving into a new house. This man looks fucking old, like 80 years old but based on the appearance of his children and wife, that cannot be. Turns out that the dude is only 58 years old, holy shit he looks bad for his age. So anyways we progressively go into the daily life and route of this old man and his family, his wife, highschooler daughter and middle school son. He get’s harassed by youth on his way to the subway, on the subway and ends up finding a dog and brings it home, more shit goes on. The next day he goes to his doctor, turns out he has stomach cancer and only has 3 months to live. He is obviously devastated but is too scared to tell his wife or his kids because they don’t exactly have the best relationship, disrespect him/hate him and ends up not telling anyone. That night he goes on a walk with his new dog into an open field where the man just bawls his eyes out. Then suddenly some young man shows up, doesn’t say anything then all of a sudden a spaceship comes crashing down from the sky on the young man and himself, killing them instantly. The aliens straight up go all, shit, we fucked up, we gotta rebuild those lifeforms but one of the aliens exclaims that all that they have left for bodies are battle models, fuckk. Later the old man wakes up and he feels refreshed, some shit continues further as her progressively discovers that everything wasn’t a dream and that his body is now completely mechanical, a battle robot model at that. Shitttttttt oh mannnnn. So while the old man is adjusting he goes out on a walk again at night, sees an old homeless man getting harassed by bitch youth, firing firecrackers and bats to beat him up. The old man thinks about it and ends up saving the homeless man, fucking teach those bitch kids to respect their elders motherfuckers, tanks their fireworks, bat hits and ends up firing missiles or something to scare all the kids off, then records the incident, posts it online to youtube/twitter and quickly identifies the bitch kids, effectively ruining their lives and future. OH MAN. I’m not entirely sure where this show is headed but one thing is for sure, gotta teach those bitch kids to respect their elders. JUSTICE IS SERVED BITCH KIDS. Amazing unique and innovative concept and idea, well executed and done well animation and character designs, a bit over reliance on 3d but still passable, good pacing and style. Good show overall so far and will probably try to watch more but we’ll see, there’s just soo much other good moe stuff around.

3-gatsu no Lion – Continuation of “I killed your dad” resumes on with the young pro shogi master. Nothing else more to say about that, the first series was good, I hope this will wrap up the story once and for all. Good character designs, good homely girls and nice style. Introduction is not as cryptic by still can be. Boy is pretty happy now that he has a goal in life, hopefully he gives up shogi and lives his life like a normal boy. Yep.

Alright then that should about wrap things up with this season of anime. Might have missed a show or two not out yet but whatever, overall I am very pleased with what this season has to offer, good chunk of slice of life, adventure/journey shows and comedy shows to hold me over well into the end of the year. Aww yea. Lots of idols still in general too and sequals such as soma S3, which I still haven’t gotten around to S2, maybe one day but not now.
