Oh shit this season is packed to the brim with good stuff! So many sequels, so many brand new promising shows, god damn where was this in fall season? COVID delay i guess. But man, among this selection of shows there is 36 new animes airing this season that I watched the first episode for in at least some capacity, that’s just also ignoring the big franchises that I don’t watch anymore like Attack on Titan and whatnot, if you add those in the mix it’ll probably be like over 40+ shows airing this winter. Due to the nature of the volume, my comments are in general shorter in length and mostly more straight to the point and a bit less summarizing, which is something that I have grown to love doing apparently, back to basics I guess. But yea, this is probably the most packed anime season in a couple of years for sure and of quality too, here’s what’s in it, there’s probably something for everyone.
Non Non Biyori Nonstop – Hell yea boi motherfucker yeahh yeahh Non Non Biyori is back after many years! After having 2 ace seasons of the chill rural slice of life comedy featuring a bunch of girls doing stupid mundane cute funny shit, shit’s back yea boi. The same thing as before I would say but they are introducing a few more characters and expanding stories with school friends from the city and highschool girl neighbor. Top of the line shit, I buy the manga so you can bet your ass that I’ll be watching this shit. Hell yea boi.
Ex-Arm – What the fuck is this piece of shit. Oh my god, 3d cg cancer bullshit. One of the worst serious attempts at 3d anime in I think no joke at least 2-3 years. Story starts as some fool boy dies and wakes up like 15 or so years later but realizes he is just a brain computer now that controls android bodies. what the fuck. Some girl and some other white haired girl do some shit and end up needing to steal his brain or whatever but they get into trouble with gangsters so they fight and he ends up having to take control of white haired girls body to fight. Sure, terrible robo like fighting that has no sense of weight or physics, fucking enemies appear in front and say some laughable lines which is supposed to be intimidating. Worse at everything, even concept, feel sorry for the voice actors attached to shit piece of shit. Worse.
Mushoku Tensei – Interesting show about a hikkomori neet unemployed middle aged guy that dies and isekai’ed into a new fantasy world as a little boy. Sounds pretty generic but the quality and execution is top notch because the animation is quality and storytelling is driven with narration and reflection by the original man and voice before he isekied, something that fucking overlord and most isekais forget about. Voice of the OG narration is I think the same guy that does Ragna in Blazblue and countless other anime roles, he pretty much makes the show with his comedic self thoughts and perverse commentary, which usually is contrary to what the little boy is doing on screen. Honestly without this narration and self reflection aspect of this show, it would be shit, just another generic isekai. Cute wizard girl teacher and i’m sure other friend will be met along the way. One of this seaons better shows. Will try to watch more if I can.
Idoly Pride – Pretty nice idol show about a young manager who supported a girl from his highschool to become an idol and at the moment of her great successful height of her career, tragically ends up dying in a car accident on the way to basically the top idol competition in Japan which she was greatly favored to win. The young manager, which is haunted by this turn of events, ends up continuing to pursue his job and find new idols in order to achieve this OG’s dream of becoming the top idol. Did I mention that the ghost of the dead idol girl is also around for some reason and kind of haunts and follows up around giving him tips and advice, which I am sure only he can see her or it is all just an illusion in his mind because he can’t let go of her. I’m sure by the end of this show when the new idols eventually win, OG ghost idol will disappear or something so yea. Probably. High quality production and an interesting spin on idol shows, not sure if this will be comedic or more drama, maybe both. Not sure if I have time for this one but I’ll watch a bit more to see. Not bad.
Kemono Jihen – Women show bait about a bunch of monster-demon boys/detective stories involving a team of monster-demon boys/guys solving essentially their own problems and shit with normal humans. This is something that has been done before in many degrees, this time they are trying for a more wholesome spin in the hope that it will attract more viewers but at it’s core this show is gay bait for women which I am sure it will be very successful at doing. The quality is ok, better than average and the pacing and storytelling is alright, but yea, not gonna watch show like this unless it has the right feel and tone, and this one doesn’t have anything appealing to me.
Horimiya – Apparently this show is getting some pretty high praise in anime circles and the first episode looks to me like honestly a women bait show about a normal popular girl in school that ends up befriending the class “weird quiet glasses kid” outside of class where his personality is a bit more edgy and looks totally different, like a rebel with ear and face piercings, different styled hair, takes off his glasses, different cool hoodlum street clothes. Still the same nice guy in school but because of his looks outside in the public, the main girl begins to be attracted to him and is all tsundere about it. There will be a bunch of other dude suitors and rivals I am assuming as well as other girl characters to balance it out I suppose fighting for the main boy. This is clearly a women authored show but it’s interesting enough to keep my attention since the animation and character designs are pretty good. While the premise is not that special, the pacing is very well done and always fast moving straight to the point. Will try to watch more of this.
SK8 the Infinity – Hooligan wannable Skater Initial D bootleg for women and gay men. The show’s premise is fairly interesting in the sense that this is one of those “never thought there would be an anime about this hobby/sport” but here it is, skateboard racing on the streets. I don’t even know if that’s actually a thing but in this world, it is. Can you even race with skateboards on a road course like this show tries to do? I have no idea but in any regard the show carries aspects of initial D in the sense that skate racing is supposed to be an underground sport and have spectators/commentators on the sidelines with also video and shit i guess for today’s youth. One of the main boys is typical hype red boy optimist, the other the strange half-white japanese kid from CANADA that before moving to Japan used to do SNOWBOARDING. Yea, you see where this is going right. The show is quite over the top and very colorful, very gay I suppose and the faces and animation is very well done. I will not be surprised if the same studio that did Yuri on Ice made this shit Ashwell. Either way, if you like this kind of thing, sure, but yea not for me.
Kai Byoui Ramune – More gay bait anime for women based on a bunch of boys solving paranormal mysteries . The first episode itself was not bad, featuring a story about a child star who is feeling sad and depressed about getting famous and because her mom is her manager, basically her success made her mom not cook and care for her daughter anymore and just bosses her around because all she sees in her is money. Girl ends up crying soy sauce, mayonnaise and other condiments so yea, that’s where the boys come in as their doctor/detective and try to solve the problem, basically giving the girl drugs that will make her hold it all in, but at the expense of her wellbeing. The only way to fix her condition is if she confronts her mother and tells her the truth how she is really feeling and in doing so, literally destroying the rich fancy things her mother brought like bags, clothes and jewelry. This happens and yea, the problem is resolved. There is a tone of slight comedy and slight drama but nothing to serious. Character designs aren boys are but fucking ugly pieces of shit, looks like a 2005 anime. Yea, some women will like this but not me. Pass.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou – Fucking finally it gets to the point where it’s not 100% a time loop and NANOHA finally reveal’s her wokeness. Apparently this show is a sequel after all, it’s been so long I can hardly remember the ending of the original anime, not even sure if it was fully resolved or if this anime plans to finish and fix that. Yea, I still prefer the original anime opening and this one needs a better one. Will continue to watch because I need to know what happens at the end.
Project Scard – Praeter no Kizu – Made by the same studio geniuses that brought you masterpieces such as HANDSHAKERS and K’S legacy of kings shit, this show maintains it’s studio’s reputation for putting an excessive amount of detail and dynamic movement in it’s action scenes with very little of the characters or story’s making any sense whatsoever. It’s so disorienting and fucking weird how basically the entire world is like textured 3dcg and live video footage with 2d anime gay boys overlaid on top doing their things, it’s weird man. As for the story, it’s convoluted as fuck, so much so already that I was certain that this was a sequel to something but apparently this is an original anime production. Oh no, that is not a good sign at all if shit doesn’t make sense on the first episode already. Garbage trash, nope.
Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon – Painfully boring exercise in not iseaki but might aswell be anyways fantasy world where the main boy is shit but wants to become an adventurer anyways because the rich noble kid stole his library job and can’t do anything else now. Main boy wants to go to adventurer school to get license or some shit, ends up training in a dungeon on his own and stumbles upon an ancient yuusha girl that is trapped/curse to the place and offers him his power, does so and now the boy is not shit anymore. has powers. There is a cast of cute girls, like his little sister, childhood friend and I am sure others along the way to aid him on his quest to becoming even more OP because all he does is go to the dungeon, talk to the ancient yuusha and powers up. Tell him to activate his powers he has to kiss girls or something whatever. The girls are ok not that great and character designs are mediocre at best. Not funny enough or interesting enough to hold more attention in a season that is already packed with so much other good shit. Shit show, next.
Skate Leading Stars – Basically Yuri on Ice 2 electric boogaloo the revenge, gay figure skating anime. Yea yea, you know the drill, red hype boy, owned in the past, doesn’t want to do it anymore; got white haired boy from his past that ruined him is the best ever; red boy wants to skate but has PTSD from being ruined by white haired boy. In comes half brother of white haired boy that wants to bring down his half brother and offers red boy to be his skating coach. yea ya. they make up a new figure skating sport, the name of this show, skate leading stars which is basically 5 man team figure skating because of course they need to to make this more gay, only team sports can bring out the gay for women anime so yea, they made one up. The animation and story is above average but the premise is nothing special. Doesn’t women ever get tired of the red hype boy and cool calm blue boy? It’s all so familiar and formulaic, just like many iseaki anime. Nope.
Yuru Camp 2 – Motherfucker hell yea boi, after about 2 years and a mini show the second season of top chill slice of life winter camping anime has returned and it’s as comfy as ever. The show takes palace just after the end of the first season and the new year/xmas group camp and shows all the girls doing their thing in their time doing part-time jobs and whatever. We see a nice backstory segment about Rin and how she first got interested in camping and her experiences first time solo camping and her history with Curry Ramen. This is a wonderful chill comfy as fuck anime holy shit this is good stuff, the very definition of good stuff. The anime we needed in 2020 arrives to us here in 2021 to help calm ourselves of the past year or ruin, no masks in this anime, lookin’ post-pre covid times guess. Excellent production and shit all round, top tier.
Youjo Shachou – Trash anime about a little kindergarten girl that apparently is the CEO of a company and the people that try to take care of her and run the show. This is a full 27 minute show, holy shit seriously? I can understand maybe 5 minutes max but they actually have that much material to make a full show? Damn son. Either way, I couldn’t take it anymore and bailed at like 10 minutes in. I ain’t watching this shit. Terrible ugly animation and character designs. No doubt a 4-koma of some sort but yea, bailed that shit, not often I bail but when I do, it’s for shit like this. Trash.
Urasekai Picnic – Hidden gay lesbian yuri anime for women/men involving two girls who find themselves in a strange ruined world that has monsters and other strange URBAN LEGEND kind of things roaming around derping about. Show starts with main brown hair glasses girl basically going to die or give up live untill blonde girl with gun shows up and saves her and pushes back monster. Some shit happens and they exit. Apparently there is a door that they go into to go back and forth between the worlds. They strangely are not that surprized about finding the world and door and even the circumstances of how they met. They end up going back in to Explore I guess and have a jolly good gay time having fun and adventure. Yea, the tone from this show is very weird, but at the end of the show I have concluded that this show is basically low-key gay yuri, yea. It’s not bad, but not that special, in a lesser season I might watch more, but nope, not this time.
Uma Musume – Pretty Derby S2 – Wow, didn’t think I would see a S2 of Cygames horse girl racing anime but I guess they have more stories to tell. I enjoyed the first series even though it was mainly made to promote a mobile game that honestly isn’t even available outside of Japan and even if it were, it would hardly be a hit considering the market is so saturated. Either way, the story this time actually doesn’t continue off from Special Week, the main girl from the first season and instead focuses on another horse girl, Tokai Teio that was in the show the first time but never really elaborated upon. I guess her story of real life horse racing is also very interesting and full of drama I suppose and that’s the reason why the decided to make this show. If that’s the case I may end up having to watch this even tho this season is packed so much already. Good quality animation and the newly awarded main girl is pretty likeable. We’ll see.
WIXOSS Diva(A)Live – Card games basically with Yu-Gi-Oh elements except the 3 vs 3 online VR battle game when you use cards it effects you as in power ups and effects, they fight in the air in the arena in front of a crowd of online spectators VR of course. The show is pretty bait and colorful and has that element of idol combination group, red main girl, yellow, blue etc since you win points with the crowd based on how you fight and how much the audience is cheering and whatnot. Wixoss has been a long running card anime game franchise for some time and I usually skip even reviewing them but for some reason I decided to watch the first ep of this one. Yea, not for me but it was worth a shot.
Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shounen ga Joban no Machi de Kurasu Youna Monogatari – A show that is a complete waste of an opportunity to be something better than what it ended up being. The main premise is that a little boy from a distant town wants to be an adventurer or hero and is tired of being bullied and made fun of for being the “weakest” little runt in his village. He leaves and goes to the big city to get enrolled into the adventure school or whatever and is god damn OP strong, far beyond everyone else. What is that the case? Well, his little town is basically right next to the demon lord castle or whatever, basically in game terms, he is from the “last town” before the last boss fight in a game, which means even the villagers and NPC style characters are super OP compared to the starting game town, which is where he went to. The concept is great but the execution, character designs, main boy and pacing flow is horrendous. Main boy is a blank slate mild mannered fool with no personality and filled with empty optimism and airheaded-ness; if it was a girl I would be ok with it but since it’s a little boy, I hate him. Pokemon+ character designs, too bad could have been something but it’s not.
Tenchi Souzou Design-bu – An interesting show that basically runs that God is fucking lazy and outsourced the “design” of earth’s various animals and creatures to a team of angels to design, engineer and deploy animals onto the earth as long as god gives it his approval. The angels are depicted as as design company and engineering firm and the various angels, appear just like normal human beings and they go about their day sharing their ideas for new creatures like long necked dears, Pegasus’s and snakes trying to get god’s approval for creation. The show is basically a glorified “learn about animals” in the same vein as Kemono Friends expect with stronger push on education and mild push on creationism, which I find is this show’s main detraction. If you ignore that conceptual basis that these animals are being “designed” by angels as a higher power and maybe interpreted that the “higher power” is actually the mechanisms of natural selection and evolution, then maybe but for me it’s not enough for me to continue watching in a season already filled to a brim with shit to watch.
Soukou Musume Senki – Fancy magical girl mecha show isekai that I believe is trying to sell a line of toys or action figures like gundam mechas and is based on a video game. I suppose this is another attempt by some lesser bootleg gundam franchise to try and capitalize on the mecha-musume thing and honestly, it’s not bad, but the main thing about this show is that everything in unfamiliar to me and actually requires time to get into to, it’s not like strike witches where I am already invested into it, show’s like this take commitment and honestly, prior knowledge of the franchise in hand or at least interest to learn more so. There is an abundance of mecha girl transformation scenes which is the best part of the show but other than that, it’s fairly generic and predictable in it’s exception and flow, with the main girl getting iseakied into the new battle world and meeting other girls who transform, with mild slice of life joke times. While an ok show, there’s not enough for me here to commit time to watch this. Pass.
Kumo desu ga, Nani ka – This show is another isekai along the same lines as “I was re-incarnated as a slime” except it is a girl that re-incarnates into a fantasy world as a fucking spider, yes the kind of spider that is the size of a basketball or large dog and in games and shit you kill because they are vicious demonic beasts. Oh boi. The show tries it’s best to make the spider girl “cute” and offering as much human-like facial features like 2 big eyes and a mouth but at the end of the day she is still a vile demonic creature except kind of pokemon Bulbasaur like face. The show uses ample amounts of 3d cg especially for spiders and doesn’t exactly hold back on the evil creatures tendency to show it cannabises it’s own kind. The show itself is supposed to be comedic and jokes with action as the main girl is not the only one killed and isekaied as apparently her entire class is killed from some explosion and they all end up in the new world. The show shows all of her classmates being reborn as high royal rich ass bitch nobles and nobility but for some reason main girl becomes a spider monster? I suppose that’s jokes but there is too many stuff to watch already and it’s similarities to slime is just too much. While I read that the spider girl does eventually get a human-hybrid-spider form similar to a centaur, it will take a while before then so yea, unless the hype builds up for this show and it turns out good, I am unlikely to watch this.
Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun – A show about a jaded and super negative smashbrothers player that is ranked #1 in japan online but in real life is a complete loser at school with minimal or no friends and is basically just bitter about life and society in general, especially the popular people at his high school and the guys with girlfriends which he loathes because they are living the “ideal” youth life. Some shit happens in battle during smash and the #2 ranked player invites him out to meet in real life, he ends up agreeing for some reason and surprise, it’s one of the hot popular girls he despises at school. Of course the shock between the two is there but the main boi basically just wants to bail already but the girl stops him and basically gives him a lecture on what the fuck is wrong with you. With her disappointment she somehow convinces the jaded boy to try and get his shit together and he agrees for her to help him with this social life, attitude and how to play and win the “game” of life, just like the popular girl does since she considers it a “godly game” by putting him up to the challenge to improve himself. Yea, I dunno about this show, the ending features glimpses of other girls I suppose that will be in this show but right off the bat the main guy is pretty undesirable and really off-putting, the girl is ok but she’s really overstepping her bounds in wanting to help him and seriously, who the fuck would actually try to do this? A pretty girl randomly helping some sad boi just because he didn’t want to try in the game of life and hates everything? It’s not really a comedy but more drama and coming of age with bits of harem/romance I think and the fact that they even consider smash bros a “godly” game is laughable to me, not even a real fighting game to be taken seriously on a competitive level. Not for me, but I’m sure this will resonate for some sad bois out there.
Idolls! – Trash 3d cg mini show about about of noob group of idol girls that dream big of having a big concert in the tokyo dome and made some promise to do it within a year or something but due to cheap booking of a ghetto concert hall end up having only a week to get good and promote a show when they have no fans. Dumb shit garbage. Waste of time.
Hortensia Saga – One of the most generic and boring fantasy animes that I have seen in a long time. There is literally nothing special going for this show, everything about it in just dull, boring political explanation of the fantasy world, some princess is outcast and forced to live a commoners life as a warrior under some minor royal, the minor royal is the a knight or some shit sworn to protect. The bad guy is some monster beast werewolf guy that killed the king and royal family which causes the princess to flee. Several years time jump and everyone is a bit older and the war between nations still rages on and now the main boy knight wants to get in on it along with the now warrior princess. No strong use of magic and shit, just knights and medieval battle. Shit character designs, boring ass story, no likeable characters, dumb fantasy bullshit. Trash next.
I-Chu – Halfway Through the Idol – Gay idol show for women featuring a female manager overseeing a group of wannable guy idols with varying degrees of themes and gimmick. Can’t even remember the groups that well because each group have like 5-10 members in them and the “main” group is only like 3 guys. There guys that don’t particular have any unifying trait or theme, they are just miss matching pieces, some tall dark skin guy, red hye boi, little short blonde weak boy. Such a shit team. Nope, the animation is ok but the char designs are forgetable, I would be hard pressed for even women to get on board this show.
Hataraku Saibou S2 – Oh boi, here is it, Season 2 of popular health/biology slice of life education anime “Cells at Work!” which more or less takes place leaving were the first season ended, with body feeling pretty alright after having beaten cancer and a slew of other diseases and conditions. The main characters are still the male white blood cell and the female red blood cell and the whole entourage of other side characters are good doing their thing. Chill education good funny shit with mild action and comedy, definietely will watch this for sure. Quality is still top notch and shiny. Good shit.
Hataraku Saibou Black – Hmmm, what is this shit? Another “Cells at Work” anime? What the hell? So yea, to sum it up, this is basically “Cells at Work” based off some of the original manga/comic designs and ideas with it being basically the complete inverse of chill slice of life S2 above; the body in this show is in pretty bad ill shape, old, diseased, fat, bad lungs, dirty, things breaking down, basically ready to die or dying unlike the relatively healthy and good natured person/body in S2. Oh boi, do you know what that means? Ruin. Yesssss. Beautiful Ruin; and with that said, the white blood cell is now a women and welds a katana and the red blood cell is a boy rookie thrust onto the job where everyone is apathetic to the fact that this body, their world is on it’s last legs. All of the funny looking germs and bacteria depicted in the original anime and S2 have been redesigned to be far more brutal and evil looking, more threats and monster like and the level of blood, violence and battle has increased significantly, cause we be BLACK after all now. So yea, this is a cool show that I’ll definitely watch aswell, but I do find it extremely odd that both “Cells at work” animes are airing in the same season, like what the fuck, and they are both full shows? Is it because COVID times? As in all of a sudden people are interested in learning about the body and how it fight diseases? That maybe one of these was supposed to air last year but got delayed? Not sure but if they truly want to make this BLACK spin off anime legendary, they should make it so that the person contracts a unknown virus known as COVID and the body/world is destroyed and the person dies, the ultimate apocalypse suitable for our days of endless ruin. Oh my god, if they actually did that this show would be insane mad lad legendary and go down in history. Do ittttttttt.
Gekidol – An idol show which looks kinda interesting but they have a episode 0 which is 50 minutes long. Fuck. I don’t really like it when they do that shit. Fuck if I wanted to watch a mini-movie I should but don’t be like that for a new now. Skimming around the episode it looks pretty interesting with good round like designs but with alot of detail and a muted realistic color palette, you won’t be seeing anybody with red, green or blue hair in this anime, most of the girls are shades of brown, black and dark blonde haired. The production seems very good and the tone just by skimming seems semi-drama with some other special gimmick or mystery paranormal murder goal theme in play, not sure. If I do end up watching this for real, I’ll let you know, but for an idol show to start off with 50 minutes already is kinda dead for me out the gate. We’ll see.
2.43 – Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu – Gay vollyball boys. Foreign blonde looking kid transfer to new school in Hokkaido in the north full of snow and shit, he used to live there in kindergarden. Old friend wants to be friends with blonde boy cause they used to be tight back in the day in kindergarden, lol. Fucking blonde boy doesn’t even remember him and ignores. Shit happens and blonde boy wants to play volleyball club, main boy is also in vollyball club but it’s just a joke club. Shit happens and main buy gets more gay and the blond boy is exposed as being a super try hard and the reason why he moved north is because he was too serious/strict at his old volleyball club on members to the point where one of the team killed themselves, bad vibes rep gotta bail. Drama and gay all around. Yea, i’m sure this will be liked by some women and some gays for sure.
Back Arrow – A show so colorful and CHINK looking out of the gate I immediately zoned out within 5 minutes and ended up skimming the shit. Apparently this is supposed to be some weird kinda meta-hybrid magical mecha show set in some alternate fantasy world china that neighbors a old west cowboy like country so like what the fuck is this world lololol. Characters use mecha magical armour and put on some rings or jewelry shit and the robo armours all say “Manifest Armor” to transform, fucking jokes and stupid. Fuck lol, this anime is so stupid it’s hard to believe it was made to begin with CHINA-COW-BOY-AMERICAN-WESTERN-MAGICAL-MECHA-COMEDY-ACTION. LOLOL FuCk. Fucking show should go BACK to the drawing board on this one. Mech anime is dead.
Go-toubun no Hanayome S2 – Oh boi, here we go again, it’s season 2 of popular and famous harem comedy “Quintessential Quintuplets” , out of the gate, we are leaving off from the end of season 1 with the main boy having recovered from his winter sickness from their trip and he and all the sisters are back at it again doing the studying and joke flirting thing. Yea, i’m gonna watch this show, I’ve come this far I want to see how it unfolds and how he does end up picking the girl of his childhood memories to be his wife. It’s basically the anime version of How I Met your Mother, except all the girls are good and there is only one guy and no other faggots around to get in the way. Hel yea boi, good shit.
Dr. Stone S2 – Hea yeah boi, Dr Stone season 2 is here. Motherfucker there is too many good shows to watch this season. Imagine if I watched mainstream popular shit like Titan and ReZero, fucking just too much man. Once again, shit leaves off from the first season and the sub title for this season is “Stone Wars” which remind me of Clone Wars but yea whatever. Science time, good civilization in the stone age world 5000 years in the future hell yea, battle against the “absolute primal highschooler” rival fraction that values power and strength over science and intelligence. More flashbacks to not dad from back in the day teaching Senkou a thing or two. Good shit watch for sure.
Azur Lane – Bisoku Zenshin! – Ah yes, the “Real” Azur lane anime is finally here as a cute and chill funny slice of life mini show. Featuring Javelin as the main character, it doesn’t really matter all that much since all of the 4 main starter boats kind of run the show, going around the base meeting new boats that were never in the first anime and having a chill funny slice of life time. Either it be playing sports with Baltimore, chilling with Akashi making cats or making a cake with Prinz Eugen, shit is good. All the girls look great and does what the original anime should have been, chill slice of life. Good shit. Will watch for sure.
Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi – Oh boy, here it is, the most controversial anime of the year already and of recent memory that basically continues to blur the lines between what is acceptable to be shown on broadcast tv anime stations in japan and essentially porn/hentai/ero-anime. For all intensive purposes, this anime is called “Redo of Healer” which sounds innocent enough and isekai like, but it’s actually not. The story essentially is about a healer boy that was abused/treated poorly but somehow gains power to turn back time a few years and decides to get revenge and payback all those that took advantage of, used him and abused him during his time as an adventurer with the “Yuushas”. Sure, sounds ok right? Well… the main problem is his idea of “revenge”, it’s basically just raping and tricking girls using his powers to have sex that did him wrong throughout the years when he as abused. Yea, you heard me, this show is basically Rape the Anime. Wow. As per episode two, he ends up fulfilling his first revenge by having his way with former master/leader, princess Flare; while the broadcast version is heavily censored using still scenes of like a fireplace or candle on a wall for like 20-30 seconds with no audio at a time while the torture and rape is happening, the uncensored uncut version is very graphic and well, very rapey, intense and cruel, something that you would expect from a dark fantasy eroanime, if you know what I mean. In it’s current state, there is really no reason to watch the broadcast tv version unless you want to look at a wall for 30 seconds and “imagine” the rape lol. Which brings to question this; why did they even make this thing into a broadcast anime? Fucking should have fully committed and just made this full on porn to begin with, at least then it’s being honest with it’s audience and itself. Aside from the heavy broadcast censorship, it would be a complete miracle if this show was somehow not pulled off broadcast tv eventually, the controversy surrounding it is fully warranted honestly. Due to it’s controversy and high profile, I feel inclined to keep following this, partly because I want to see if the main boy’s actions are truly justified, and partly because I am just a fucking degenerate and want to know so I can discuss it and read other’s opinions online. We’ll see.
World Witches Hasshin Shimasu! – I was happy to see that there was more strike witches content but unfortunately this falls again under the shit mini show slice of life comedy with very bad poor budget. Man, the idea behind this show is great, all of the strike witches from all units and shows together just living and chilling in a slice of life comedy fashion, too bad it’s worse that Flash (RIP) animation and borders on just slight stills and motion tweens. Fuck. Probably not going to watch this, sad.
Wonder Egg Priority – A very interesting show, a fairly high budget artsy and conceptual show that goes into the world of school bullying and suicide from the perspective of a quasi magical girl dream world and story linked to the real world. The show stars a blue haired girl that is being bullied because she has heterochromia, yellow and blue eyes and although she thinks about killing herself, she does not, because she thinks back to her friend, earlier in the year that reached out to her, that ended up killing herself once the bullies changed focused and drove her friend to jump off the school rooftop. She wakes up one day to find some mysterious egg in her bed and a voice tells her to crack it, she doesn’t do so until at school in the washroom, and the egg transforms and gives birth to another highschool girl, one that she doesn’t know. The two converse a bit before being attacked my some strange conceptual monsters that want to stab and kill them. A chase happens around the school all the way back to the top of the school. Some shit happens and the egg girl is saved but regardless disappears after thanking the main girl. Main girl converses with the voice and basically comes to the conclusion that there is a way to get back her friend that killed herself with this egg thing or something. Yea, wow, this show is pretty meta wide brain things going on, very madoka vibes right off the bat and looks beautiful tool. Will watch more for sure, hope it’s not authored by the fucking man that wrote Kado. Fuck.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken – Oh boy, it’s slime time again. Well, hopefully I have time to watch this again because honestly, while it’s a great show, this story arc feels like filler right off the bat. The world is filled with so many characters and such it’s hard to keep track of everyone and there doesn’t seem to be much world building or battle right now. But we’ll see, i’ve invested a considerable amount of time in this show already, it would be a shame to abandon it now. We’ll see, hopefully I can stay on top of this even though there is sto much good stuff this season.
Shows that try to watch for sure: Non Non Biyori Nonstop, Horimiya, Mushoku Tensei, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou, Go-toubun no Hanayome S2, Hataraku Saibou S2, Hataraku Saibou Black, Yuru Camp S2, Dr. Stone S2, Wonder Egg Priority, Uma Musume – Pretty Derby S2, Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken, Azur Lane – Bisoku Zenshin!, Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi (because I want to know)
Shit it don’t know if I will be able to hold all these shows.
I’ll try me best to hold just like GME and ‘s.
