Things That I Hate and Like
Cover Art: At The Gates is one of the early pioneers of the Swedish Gothenburg melodic death metal sound in the early 90’s which pretty much helped spawn an entire sub genre of death metal. I was actually surprised when I saw this album up for DL, I had long known that the band had …
Cover Art: This is a pretty cool looking album cover. So we got some unchained demon blasting through some planet with debris flying out everywhere into space. Not exactly the most original of ideas but the illustration itself is very well done and detailed. The logo for the band it also looking good, typical iron …
So today is Remembrance Day, commemorating veterans and all of the hard battles fought in wars of long past. In the world of metal there is alot of material about war, specifically world WWI and WWII but it also extends to all wars and fighting in general, which kind of makes sense when you think …
Background: So I got this from an online hobby store because I happened to win/earn some gift coupon codes, I think it was around 25 bucks or so because I brought a lot of shit from them in the past; I guess customer loyalty or whatever points. The coupon was going to expire and I …
Cover Art: This is supposed to be a melodic death band but their main theme is vikings so technically it falls under viking metal, which is actually a thing and based on that alone, the cover art meets those credentials fairly well. Not actually the most epic of scenes but still nevertheless epic. I wonder …
I like Halloween. I like boats. I like cosplay. Works for me. Been watching alot of AMC fear fest marathons, catching up on classic horror/slasher movies like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street etc. Only until recently I discovered how not scary these movies actually are and well quite frankly, pretty funny and …
Cover Art: Nightrage has been around for quite awhile now and they consistently put out solid cover art and consistently good metal. Their past cover art featured among other things, skulls and some bald looking guy, this one is taking cue from the former and it actually feels pretty different than what they usually produce …
Cover Art: I’ve been following ChthoniC for a few years now since I first discovered them with their Takasago Army album in 2011. The cover art for their albums were generally mediocre and standard looking death metal art pre-Takasago Army, filled with scary and spooky looking scenes/grim reapers etc but since that album they really …
Cover Art: Just by looking at the cover would you know that this band’s name is Serenity In Murder? What the fuck is with that logo text? I know that in metal there is a tendency/desire to have a really demonic/magical spell looking band logo but man, I can’t even read any of that shit as …
Cover Art: Awww mannnnn, it’s Sakuya Brando, ruining your shit, crushing dem skulls, summoning da worldo! Badass and jokes as fuck. lol. So yea. This particular cover album features Jojo’s bizarre adventure stardust crusaders main villian Dio Brando as Sakuya from the touhou fandom originally appearing from embodiment of scarlet devil stg game, or is …
