Things That I Hate and Like
Cover Art: Disarmonia Mundi is an Italian melodeth band which in my opinion is one of the best practitioners of the whole harsh/clean vocal thing and a pioneer in using synth to elevate their sound to new intensities and depth. I’ve been a big fan of Disarmonia Mundi for a long time now, I think …
Cover Art: The band in question here is Solution .45 which is something of a super metal band collaboration project where all of the members are from other bands and yea, they play music and write songs. I suppose you can consider it something like a side project for the band members from their main …
Overall 2015 was a very good year for anime as there was lots of shows that I found enjoyable and more importantly, the amount of whiny, weak, wuss main characters were kept to a minimum. To be on this list means that I fully finished the show, none of this watch half way and still …
Cover Art: What the fuck is this shit? Christoper Lee? Fucking Lord Saruman made a metal album? Whatttttttt shittttt, can not even. Yes, that’s right; before he died this year in 2015 at the ripe old age of 93 Christoper Lee dabbled in making metal music, providing his epic deep wizard like voice for the …
Cover Art: So this album is another Undead Corporation work titled 海の風、陸の花, which roughly translates to “Sea of wind, land of flowers” according to google and contains covers of Kantai Collection’s in-game music, which is pretty cool. Common, TIME OF THE SWORD RULERS, that just screams epic power metal. So we got some some Dracula Castlevania …
Cover Art: This is the first album by Serenity In Murder, a Japanese melo-death metal band which I first discovered a couple months back with their latest album, The Highest Of Dystopia which I thought was pretty damn good so I thought I would check out the rest of their discography. In regards to this …
Cover Art: At The Gates is one of the early pioneers of the Swedish Gothenburg melodic death metal sound in the early 90’s which pretty much helped spawn an entire sub genre of death metal. I was actually surprised when I saw this album up for DL, I had long known that the band had …
Cover Art: This is a pretty cool looking album cover. So we got some unchained demon blasting through some planet with debris flying out everywhere into space. Not exactly the most original of ideas but the illustration itself is very well done and detailed. The logo for the band it also looking good, typical iron …
So today is Remembrance Day, commemorating veterans and all of the hard battles fought in wars of long past. In the world of metal there is alot of material about war, specifically world WWI and WWII but it also extends to all wars and fighting in general, which kind of makes sense when you think …
